As much as I think TMM is a more obvious choice, I'm inclined to think this also.
The coach has got us this far this year, way beyond what many of us thought would be possible so he gets the benfit of the doubt from me...

I've got no issue with Tesi keeping his place. He's improved as the season has gone on and the Broncos look like a more dangerous team with him in the mix. It's a tough assignment against the Roosters and if he isn't up to it then go back to Plan B.

It's just like Mam vs. Gamble for me.

I'm also glad that Kevie is giving Mariner another go. I thought he played as well as you could expect of an 18 year old and I'd expect his combination with his team mates will improve with time. Again it's a tough assignment but it's good experience and I believe he's an important piece of the puzzle moving forward.

Look, this is the fine line that NRL coaches must tread.

That performance last week smacked of complacency. This is not the Siebold era where everyone gets another ride ticket to go again next week.

The players must be made accountable.

So no, ive no issue with Paix being punished for lapses in defence (he wasnt the only one though..) but, once again, this club really does need to settle on our long term hooker...

But thats not happening this year so i need to move on.

I dotn see the point in moving or shuffling the two youngest members of our spine. For the sake of their development and the club understanding precisely what they have, then Mam and Niu need to stay put.

TMM is argubaly the superior option, but he rolled his dice and hes going. He is no longer part of our future, Niu is.

Recce Walsh could break his leg next week (God forbid) and be out for 12 months. TMM's gone, who is next man up? Right now its Tesi. Plus Walsh needs true competition next year so that he performs to his best each week.

If you want TMM back and Kev to put Tesi in the centres or at 5/8th and bench Mam etc....go follow the Titans. They have done this to their young spine all year...look where they are.

I dont wont the club to throw its youngest and brightests under the bus anymore.

They need to know the club and coach believes in them, are prepared to take the good with the bad and give them the space they need to develop their game. This is the only way to sustained success in a salary capped league.
