Broncos defence needs to learn legs tackles on the line achieve nothing. Mam did it last week and then last night it happened again with Walters and Capes. In both cases if they get off the line and at least one goes high they are a chance to slow them or hold them up.

I'm with @Midean here, I don't really understand the hoo-ha about Marty. It looked terrible in real time but watching the detail his leg didn't actually even touch anyone. I'm ok with a penalty, I'm not okay with the binning and I'm definitely not okay with him missing any weeks when Suaali is a serial offender and gets off lightly (thanks @Big Pete for the images).

As for Arthars, it was high but no worse than the hit he copped earlier in the game. The fact it was a touch late shouldn't matter. We also had our challenge denied for a forearm across the top of a bloke's head. Why is consistency so hard? One minute they're all about cracking down on ANY contact with the head at all (ie Kotoni recently for tackling too hard across the chest because it looked awesome, or Flegler's arm into Sivili's nose because he ducked his head into his arm), but the next minute they can look at a forearm to a guy's head and say "nah he was just making a tackle, nothing to see here" - wtf?!

I haven’t heard this in context myself but just going off of this I think Kev should’ve publicly backed his player better than this. Say whatever he wants behind closed doors but even a deflection would’ve been better than piling on

The second half was probably one of our best halves of football this year. First half we were very sloppy with a lot of errors and some poor defence. Things turned around when Billy went off. Who would have thought that Billy would be making a strong case for 4th best hooker at the club….

Taupau probably missing a few weeks but Flegler back in next week to replace him. I’d keep Willison in the team over Palasia and bring Piukura back in next week on the edge.

Hopefully Arthur’s isn’t suspended, but if he is I’m sure Mariner can do a job there.

Marty was a borderline unco/spastic move....... raising the knees is always dangerous
Jesse was late and high

I can cop 10 mins bin time for those, but IMO, that should be the end of it.

If Marty has been warned about knee lifting prior.......then tbh, a week or two off to make sure he gets the message, isn't out of order.

Yea i couldn't help but laugh when vossy said that.
Any hit could break any bone if it connects the wrong way.

The commentary on fox is usually bad, but last night it went to another level between Vossy and Ennis.

Need to watch it again, but I thought there may have been a sliver of intent from Arthars. His hand seemed a little clenched and on limited views it was a reasonable swinging arc his arm travelled.
