Did anyone else pick up voss basically insinuate Marty deliberately targeted grahams injury?

That’s some sort of accusation from an “impartial” commentator. That’s really fucking average.
He’s the head of dumbfuck idiots @ Fox. All of them are biased morons.

Hang on, people are saying Marty getting 3 weeks is a conspiracy against Brisbane? I thought he should have got 4-6. He got a warning letter by the NRL this week about raising his knees when running, and then goes out and does the worst one I've seen in a while.

A raised knee that didn't connect, where's the dangerous contact? For it to be dangerous contact, it actually has to make contact. It didn't. End of.

Yea, it was a dangerous action but technically did not actually make contact. Thats why I think it should have been charged as contrary conduct instead of dangerous contact.

Technically he should be exonerated of the 'dangerous contact' charge. Of course that will never happen. I'd love to see this go through a proper legal challenge. Any legal eagles around? I'm far from that area of expertise.

Did I make a Suaalii comparison somewhere? I haven't seen whatever tackle you're talking about.
You're the one making the comparison, so how about you show me the difference if you're making the claim Marty's charge is too high.

RCG got 4-5 weeks for his 3rd dangerous contact offence. Marty is getting 3-4 weeks for his second offence this year. Seems about right to me.
Go back a page or two, the pictures are already here in this very thread and also the fact that it wasn't until Sua'ali'i 3rd offense did he get suspended.
This is Marty's first offense and he is getting a stiffer penalty than Sua'ali'i repeat offense.

I believe it contacted the chest, and I don't really care if it didn't. It's an absolutely disgraceful act that should be rubbed out of the game in the harshest way. If you raise your knees like that, you deserve to be rubbed out for a long period. Nobody naturally runs like that, it's intentionally trying to injure the opposition.

The options on that edge and the chaos amongst the defenders was glorious

That sweep play where we give the ball to Cobbo at pace he just monsters down that edge, no one is stopping that with his current form.

I think the only way teams can stop it, is by rushing Reynolds early before he gets a chance to pass it (like we were doing to Cody). Once it gets to Walsh, it's over.

Thanks for the heads up. I’ll pull the pin after the cows.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
You know how I know? Coz I’m doing the same thing. I’ll cancel that same night after the Cows game. I can’t listen to that fkn drop kick Ennis or his bestie Parker ever again.
Fox have done well. Hired a pack of second rate commentators. Bitter, twisted hating their old club & prejudiced ex-players, who constantly shit on everything.
Warren Smith is not much better 🙄
To top it off, Kayo have gotten worse with their programming, so they can get fkd too.

Vossy please. If my grandmother had wheels she'd be a bicycle. FFS
Vossy, 💯 champ. It’s up there with:
“If he king hit Campbell from behind, he would have a great shot at KO-ing him.”
Or the all time classic commentator line
“I think the side that scores more points will win”. Shut the **** up.

Kevin Walters:
“He got a warning through the week and Marty was well aware of it. We’ve got to get that out of his game because I thought tonight for him starting he got a bit excited because he hasn’t started for us all year. A warning letter through the week from the NRL, which Marty was aware of. Marty’s not a dirty player but he’s certainly got to get that out of his game.”
I might be asleep at the wheel here, but have you guys seen this in Marty’s game this year? I’ve watched every game and can’t honestly recall him knee lifting. Suali I know does it 5 times a game, but Marty?! Did I miss something?

I think the warning letter he's referring to could've been the league wide warning letter sent out this week about 'bumpers'... i.e. NRL's new crackdown

I can see what Marty was doing but the execution was all wrong, running like that can launch you at the defence with your leg strength and was the reason Campbell Graham flew, but his knee was up and even though it clearly wasn't first contact it looks bad.

Suaalii has never been binned for it, let alone sent off. I was trying to figure out where the outrage came and only had to listen to Ennis' take.
There ya go.

He does this all the time, and i believe it was 3 infractions before he got suspended, but Marty cops it up front.

Cheers Pete

If the Suaalii comparison wasn't there to be had, I'd be fine with 3 to 4 for Marty if they wanna say it's because it's dangerous and stupid, becuase it is, even if the knee doesn't hit.

But when young Joseph has priors, and the only suspension he gets is a lesser suspension than this one but he actually knocked someone out, that's straight up ridiculous.

Again with the NRL, consistecy is non existent. Tino/Nas/JWH smashing people with bumpers not punished, us punished for 'If's'. If it connected etc

Parker logic:
NRL- Raised knee running into a defender which made limited contact “That’s the worst thing I’ve seen on a football field for years”
NRLW- Tackler lifts a runner over the horizontal and dumps her on her head/shoulder - had to be taken from the field. “Well, that looks a lot worse than it was.”

I hate this.

Technically, it's an obstruction. But Jensen was not stopping Koloamatangi from sliding across to close the gap. He played for the obstruction which is what I hate. The refs need to start cracking down on this.
