Round 22 - Broncos vs Bulldogs - Post Match Discussion

if Reynolds doesn't get 6 weeks minimum for tonights effort, every one who has anything to do with that JOKE they call the match review committee and that JOKE they call the judiciary need to be FIRED

This....

The worst thing they have done out of all the stupid things they have done in making changes to the game is outlaw the punch.

It just breeds filthy little f#&*%rs like him coz they know they can do whatever they want to piss you off and you can't do a thing about it..

A couple of decent smacks in the head would at least make the guy think twice.... having said that I think he is such a grub it wouldn't make much difference with him coz he just can't help himself.

I so want someone to say "F^%k it... I don't care if I get sent off I just gotta smash him.."

Of course Hodges comes back. He'll keep Reed out of the centres.

Hunt turned this game. I'm glad he's back to form. The dogs were off side a few times they got away with and without a wide a camera angle to see they were up on him fast so he was almost foreced to run himself when made that great run down the left. I think that lifted the Broncos. That steal!
Grub finished the game for the Broncos. Fantastic image above. I'm so glad he is angry but who does he think is to blame. He was worth tat least three penalties to us but we were lucky Barba and Sammy weren't injured (permanently). #17 and Ennis were getting dirty too.

Funny enough Maranta is suddenly good in the air again when Hodges isn't there. Why is that?

Hoffman and Barba have been great since the swap. No choice but to leave them there. I'm glad Hoffman is contracted through 2015 as passing can be taught. Barbas try was great effot and great tackle to take old mate over the sideline.

Even Kennedy was getting involved.

LOL....of course he does.

It's hard to keep a straight face reading some of the comments in here sometimes.

I wouldn't be so sure.

Reed played his preferred left centre tonight, whilst Copley was on the right.. I think that would indicate that Copley will be the one pushing out to the wing.

At least that's the way it's made to look.

Very good win. We played good footy. Reynolds is a piece of shit. Doesn't Hoffman look a better fullback when he passes it.

He pushed Reed to the wing last week. Considering Reed was pretty useless once again, I'm hoping he'll do the same (or better yet, drop him completely).

But yeah, I forgot that our coach is Griffin for a second.

Hoffman - What a game!! He was phenomenal tonight and rivalled Hunt for Motm.
Vidot - Another very strong game and looked threatening in attack more than he has for a long time, great game.
Copley - He is already a star, great game and threatened all night.
Reed - Nice depth for him to fill in so superbly for Hodges, a bit of the Reed of old tonight.
Maranta - Last match was an aberration it seems, high standard game tonight.
Barba - I'm sold, excellent game and a bit of magic at the end of the first half, he's our long-term 5/8th.
Hunt - The 2014 Dally M medallist in waiting was motm again, stunning game!
McGuire - No flashy plays, no headlines but did his role to perfection and had us rolling forward all night.
McCulliugh - Solid game and served a nice one-two kicking punc with Hunt.
Parker - Strong game and nice to see support runners all around him all night, lead from the front.
Glenn - Nice game but outshone by Gillett and Thaiday in the last sixty minutes in my opinion.
Thaiday - He worked himself into it the more the game wore on, just want him more involved from the outset.
Gillett - He has brilliant moments and brain fades but that pass to Oates was beautiful.

Granville - Short cameo but worked nicely in this game, Cowboys have a gun next season.
Kennedy - I thought he played well and has improved each game since his demotion, should be in the side.
Hannant - He has gotten better and better as this season has worn on, really needs to be resigned.
Oates - Great try, needs more game time.

Griffin - Please remember the value of picking a balanced side!!

Toy Williams - As good as Hut and co were, this was the real hero for us tonight, brilliant game for us and is obviously cheap as chips since we don't pay him a thing!!

Slow start but a good night out for the boys. Nice to see some flair again. Afraid we were going back to one out bullshit after initial resistance from the Dogs.

Still believe we're going to be hard up against the top tier teams: Storm, Manly, Souths, Roosters. But we have a very solid foundation for next year, where we will give it a real shake.

Also, I would never wish lasting injury on a player during a game. But I hope someone glasses Josh Reynolds on the weekend.

Another thing.. a thrashing like that keeps drowns out the cap shit for another week at least.

Reynold's has gotta b dirtiest player in last 20 years. No wonder he's called "Grub".
Real test for Broncs comes next week when we need repeat effort to show consistency n finals worthiness.

Hunts defense was the best part of his game tonight.

THAT WAS FUCKING AWESOME!

And ripping into the Bulldogs supporters in the away supporter bay was just as good.

Hunt and Barba, that can be quite a combination. Bennett should take not. Boyd cannot do that.

Perhaps someone can explain this to me, because the rule keeps changing.

When stripping the ball in the act of a try being scored, do they have to actually be over the line? The penalty Bulldogs got after Broncos stripped the ball from Eastwood who was trying to score looked bullshit at first glance..
