We just couldn't get a quick play the ball all game. We need to take a leaf from the Storm playbook and anytime we get hit in defence we need to dive to the ground. Refs may call surrender once or twice a game but at least it gives us a chance of a 6 again.

Considering we lost both halves that was a pretty decent performance. Really important game in the round and we get Grant dud Atkins. Thanks NRL.

If the NRL ever get forward pass technology built into the footballs Harry Grant is in a lot of trouble.

With Reece Walsh he really does have to take a run first pass later option. The defenders are just hanging off him as they know he isn't going to run and will try a flat pass to an attacker.
Reece’s knee is rooted, I am convinced. He can’t run.

So he is trying the crazy passes to find something in his game to contribute.

But we don’t have any other fullbacks in the squad, so it’s Reece on one leg or one of our sh*tty wingers masquerading as a fullback…

That was a great chase by Cobbo. Dude has really improved his fitness. Hopefully he's not out for too long.
yet we are getting rid of him, just like we got rid of Coates who made us regret that today

Talty should be starting and Gosieski back to the bench. Gosieski is a big body but has no impact and is barely Q Cup standard.

We really do need some decent second rowers for next year.

One thing that did piss me off was when Coates tried to take out Walsh on the ground and we just stood back and watched. Should have been a couple of guys in there knocking Coates off his feet.

Effort was good. Not sure we would have won without the injuries but it would have been interesting. Need to learn how to slow the PTB down, refs unfortunately control this though.

The only consolation is that it could have been worse, otherwise there was little to celebrate. Another poor night at the office for Walsh but I found Staggs left more to be desired. At least Walsh wanted to get his hands on the ball, Staggs looked like he couldn't wait for them to call full-time.

I don't believe he is 100% either but i'd rather see him go to ground than attempt a low percentage pass that just hands possession back to the opposition.

It's games like this that proves how prehistoric and bullshit the rules are by having a 4 man bench.

Why can't you have a 21 man squad for gameday so a team can still be competitive if they cop a bunch of injuries... or allow you to change up the game plan if you are behind or chasing points.

Dinosaur rule. This sport is so far behind the elite worldwide leagues.

How about this for an outside the box idea.

you have a 21 man game day squad.

the usual bench players (14 - 17) can come on as a usual interchange.

then you have a substitute player bench (18 - 21). they can only come onto the field if a player has been ruled out of the match (either by foul play or by injury). the only thing is you may also need an independent doctor (or someone else qualified to make those decisions) at each match to prevent teams abusing the system

No.

Brisbane rolled out the red carpet, played him before his time and made a better offer than Melbourne.

He just saw himself becoming a better player down there and he was right.
I just heard that in a podcast he did, don’t know if it’s right or the full story

Before I forget a big get ****ed to Cooper Cronk and Mick Ennis for their pathetic halftime comments.
