Interestingly, we were ahead until the 30th minute with penalties / infringements. So what changed?
That was so deflating. I've copped it from all the Storm fans around me and what can I say? We were getting well on top until that freaking intercept and injury to two key players all in the same play. Instead of having that Cobbo tackle inspire us to victory (it was Dearden-esque on Cobbo himself), instead we're watching BOTH halves go down the tunnel.
I don't know what causes this kind of thing to happen year in, year out against the Storm but it has to change eventually, surely. From that moment on, we had no direction, lost the whistle and lost our two playmakers and not long after had Cobbo himself on one leg.
Just so deflating to not only lose to them after I actually think we might have come home with a wet sail to season being over losing three players on top of our already extensive injury list.
Souths come in banged up, ref does everything he can to help them. We lost three players, ref goes screw it, cop this as well.
