POST GAME Round 23 - Broncos vs Dragons

Somebody needs to buy Milf some new boots, he was slipping over all night.

We just bought him new gloves after the last round. Seems to have solved the dropsies. I'll take a few slips over knock ons.

I really hope reed has the week off to not only rest his injury but to give Copley a run. We need to match roosters for speed (Jennings and fergo) I think Copley is the man to take over from hodges. You can't take away jahus best ability (catching bombs) and put him at centre. Copley is the man to take over when hodges is gone. Copley has shown more at centre than kahu has. Copleys got it all. Sorry if I'm blabbering but in proud of him. His injuries this year and a few years ago. The kid is tough! The kid is all class!

Really noticed how hard Blair works last night, his work off the ball is quite amazing. Met him in the sheds last night and he is a top bloke too.

Copley had a good game and hopefully he can get some luck with injuries now.

Foordy the chick sitting behind me last night likes copley more than you like copley. She LOVES copley... It was kinda gross by the end

Forgot how good copley is. Defended and attacked well. Could he play left center instead of reed?

Not sure what Thaiday was thinking after Wallace cleaned up that kick..

Was he trying to increase his tackle stat or what?

Even better was the ref called held. I don't think a Dragon even touched him.

Great win, but my concern is with the tries that weren't scored. There were 3 or 4 more that the could have scored but the pass missed the mark or the wrong option was taken. We saw with the Cowboys that against a better side your execution only needs to be slightly off and you get over-run. Cows had a couple of really well done plays that should have ended with points. They didn't, and lost because of it. Hopefully that doesn't happen to us.

Just watched the replay (out last night) and was pleased with our structure and execution for the majority of the game, we kind of fell off a bit towards the end once the game was out of St. Georges reach, but that is to be expected i think.

Blair made a world of difference didn't he ... i hope he doesn't sit out any more games between now and the finals, he makes such a difference to our lineup.

I missed this whole incident. Please someone post a replay.

Copley was good but he did drop the ball over the line (even though it was a no try anyway) and threw another wayward pass after a great aerial take. I want to see him out there again but I do hope he doesn't make any critical mistakes otherwise he'll end up sitting next to Vidot.

1. enjoyed the game and was really pleased with the effort and the win
2. Blair is a must in our side, how he has flipped the coin around this year is a real credit to himself and our coaching staff
3. Thaiday dropping on Wallace was an obvious shielding, Wallace was on the ground defenceless with his back against the D, he was open for a hammering. Thaiday selflessly covered him from a heavy hit. In my eyes it was the equivalent of dropping on a live grenade, a true team player.

Dale played well, he made the correct choice in attack almost every time, and he probably should've had 2 tries and a linebreak assist, but Gillett fumbled that pretty easy pass after Dale did all the hard work.

I think Jordy is more suited to wing anyway, Copley for right centre 2016!

Blair has some the prettiest offloads I've ever seen.

Reed missed a lot of tackles, especially in the first half.

Milford was fantastic.

Hunt was rocks and diamonds all night, but he never gave up.

Dodds can HIT.

Happy with the performance, we made a disturbing lack of metres without Blair on the field though. Kicking from our own 30 consistently.

I saw it as more of a piss take, like when packed into the Bulldogs scrum

At first I thought the same, after watching it on the replay just after I noticed he actually looks at the situation and comes right in over Wallace's back. He never had that look on his face either that he has when taking the piss.

Dodds can HIT.

I've always loved Dodds in defence. It was good to see him making big efforts to cover ground and make important tackles, the sort of stuff he's been in trouble for before. I still prefer him to Wallace simply because he doesn't have that stupid penalty in him. Wallace has a better running game but the pressure he consistently puts us under, normally while we're already under fatigue, is not worth it. There were a few again last night that I'm surprised he didn't get done for.

That's how I saw it. I guarantee he's doing that stuff 100 times a day when he's around the boys, kind of becomes instinct.

8 missed tackles by Reed..

Credit where credit's due. I didn't want Blair at the club after a few very lean years at the Tigers, but got that one definitely wrong.
As Gould say last night, he just thrives under structure and discipline, and is probably the most improved player of 2015. He was very good last night and thoroughly deserved the MOTM.

Of course, he would have never played that well without that much needed holiday he forced upon the club...
