Round 23 Discussion

Does Issac Luke get away with more forward passes than any other Dummy half?, and I know i get flames for this but GI gets another penalty for putting himself in a dangerous position.

FMD he is good at it, as soon as someone lifts one leg just a bit he puts his head down keeping his other foot planted. He is in total control but always gets a penalty.

Michael Lichaa, Mitchell Pearce, Cam Smith, Robbie Farah and Issac Luke, in that order. I know Pearce isn't a hooker, but he get's away with a lot of forward passes. I don't think Boyd Cordner has scored a try off a backwards pass.

Well the others must be better at disguising them IMO but Luke tonight just threw them forward without fear. FMD 2 refs with one supposedly watching the ruck and they still can't pick up the Clark try.

South Sydney were just far to good for the Cowboys. They rolled over them through the middle thanks to the Burgess boys and limited the impact of Thurston and Taumololo extremely well (I didn't think either of them played that well). The Cowboys need to fire up from the start in each game they got caught by a side that was fired up and ready to go from the get go tonight and found themselves behind all night after leaking early points.

Excellent win by the Rabbitohs

Keary is a massive ****wad. Don't rate him, classic case of small man syndrome.

Glad he doesn't qualify for Queensland. Hope he does end up playing for the Blues so I can see him get chewed up and spit out.

Decent win for Souths. They did look to be building up to peak form. Good result for us, not so great for my tips.

Agreed. I think Keary has the potential to be a handy player but he is nowhere near as good as what they hype him up to be.

Regarding NSW selection he would be behind Maloney, Sezer, Austin, J.Reynolds and Bird for a spot. Couldn't really understand why some Queenslanders were pissed about losing him he was well behind in the QLD pecking order as well and you guys were probably never going to pick him.

Because it just goes against what Origin should be about. If was eligible for both states, he should be able to decide which one he prefers. But NSWRL had to decide for him. It just sets a shitty precedent for the future.

He could still turn out to be good anyway, he's still young.

Did the refs stop looking at contact on the kicker after the first debacle?

JT copped a bit

The refs seem to be letting the big boppers linger in the ruck just that bit more in recent weeks. If the trend continues then Souths Chooks and Dogs will benefit most.

Maybe it's just my penchant for a conspiracy or maybe it's the looming prospect of an all Qld final.

I'm seeing it too. Lying there looking back at their defensive line and then at the refs and then they'll push down on the player as a second attempt, disguising it as them just trying to stand up. If we're smart we'll milk the **** out of it.

Keary facing 1-2 weeks for his shoulder charge.

Luke facing 3-4 weeks for a shoulder charge and lifting tackle.

If they take guilty pleas, Keary will miss one week and Luke will miss the remainder of the regular season.

Suck the fat one, you little grubs.

While I think the charges are overblown for what occurred on the field, if Blair has to cop 2 weeks then I'm more than happy to watch these two take a holiday.

I was looking forward to a entertaining match last night but is it just me or are Souths suck all the life out of the match(particularly this year) by playing the most boring game of league possible?

Big blokes bash it up, few passes here and there nothing too tricky, bash a little man by running a big man at him, bash it up a bit more.

Hopefully the reduction in interchange will really hurt their big men next year.

I think it's the fact there is not a likeable player on the team. Even GI becomes a douche wearing that jersey

The Knights will win the wooden spoon this year you've heard it first.
