Yeah Kev talks about it in the interview below. Part of me thinks it was a move by Kev to benefit the team particularly the younger forwards to have someone around them who has done it come crunch time with the finals approaching. Maybe even influence Haas?

2007 Breach: $551,032
2008 Breach: $305,508
2009 Breach: $964,877
2010 Breach: $1,027,956

And 2011 they were set to breach it by $1,325,188

Keep in mind the salary cap was $3.366 Million in 2006, $3.9 Million in 2007 and then $4 million until 2012.

Mind you, it didn't take the salary cap to be a massive rort. When it was first introduced, Canberra won the premiership with a team that was $600,000 over a $1.5 Million cap.

I disagree , I can see a super star in Willison and want him in the team sooner rather than later .I am a fan of Jensen I have praised him before . I just think Willison is too good to be held back serving an apprenticeship .

Hey everyone, my apologies, I didn’t mean to come across as inflammatory in my first post above. Also, apologies for my delayed response, I only get limited computer time on school nights.

We’re doing a unit on groupthink mentality in social studies, and we have to collate a range of empirical data by conducting our own real-world experiments. I’m a MASSIVE Broncos fan and started following this forum a few months back and decided yesterday to utilise it as a means for one of my studies (and so that I had an excuse to be browsing BroncosHQ when I’m meant to be doing homework haha!) I figured an etiolated, misquoted defense of the Storm would be a good trigger to enact my postulation for the assignment as the Storm appear to get shot down a lot on here.

Again, my apologies if anyone thought I was deliberately inciting anti-Bronco rhetoric.

P.S. If anyone was wondering, I correctly predicted that BigPete and Culhwch would be among the first five respondents to my post!!! Didn’t foresee mrslong, ivanhungryjak or GCBRONCO I’m afraid.

To be fair, Storm cap compliant still flog us. Locky decided to leave his worst game of the season for last.

Manly in ‘08, I highly doubt we beat them. They were a different beast in that finals series. Much like Storm in ‘17.

A victim of Piakura’s and Palasia’s good form.

Palasia killed it off the bench against Cowboys and he’s been quite good when given opportunities lately. He deserved a spot.

Piakura has just been a beast. His late footwork at the line and his hole running has been a good asset the past month or so.
