I think if we are going to miraculously win the whole thing we'd need to be home week one. Four away games in a row is too much for this squad. Unless Thecliffe somehow finish 6th and us 7th.
Home final would obviously be a huge boost, but I'm pretty pessimistic about our chances with a hobbled Reyno, and little less pessimistic about our chances in an away final. I know our away record looks pretty rank, 4-6 though it's more like 3-5 when you factor in 'away' games played at Suncorp against The and Panthers.

Those 6 losses were:
- 3 okay or unlucky performances against top 8 sides (Raiders, Warriors, Storm)
- 3 shitty performances against mixed quality opponents during a period when Walsh was out and we couldn't even beat Dragons at home (Panthers at Suncorp, Bunnies, Eagles)

Our 4 away wins included 2 good wins over decent sides (Roosters, Bulldogs), plus a gimme against Tits and a home 'away' vs The.

I feel like having our spine at full fitness (or as close as we can get to it) will be a much bigger factor than playing at home.

Walters has worked so well this year being off the bench, it’s going to be interesting how he’ll be starting instead.

P.S, there should be a jumpscare warning for Riki and that mo.

What our record with Captain carrigan?

I was sure both wingers played on the opposite sides to where they are named. Someone please help me out.

Based on the jersey numbers??

I wouldn't worry about it too much... Mariner played right outside Staggs last week and Karapani has been playing left when he's been in first grade

We really should roll these mongs in the middle
Phins may be undermanned but they are still super aggressive in defence... and that is our kryptonite.

Their spine is also fully intact and of course this is their GF... even more so this time around, because if we win then their finals hopes start to take a hit... although rorters have a tough run home.

The big question is still Herbie.

Last week's game provided zero information to take from it, but it became extremely apparent how important Herbie was for us in 2024 after he'd left.

Herbie's carries in yardage are immense and just creates momentum out of nothing... that's not something you can just replace.

Their yardage for last week is below, but doesn't really tell you a whole lot because the game was largely played inside the 20m's rather than between them in a grind.

But their yardage vs wahs the week before showed huge meters from Feagai and Averillo, but I wasn't really paying attention to how effective their carries were... Herbie's yardage carries is two fold in that he takes heaps of hitups for huge meters, but he's also excellent at creating quick ptb's.

Broncos since Herbie left have been struggling with meters from the back 5, so it will still be interesting to see how dolphins compensate for him

Walters has been our best spine player for several rounds this year.
Here are Walters stats this season:

As starter: 1 win from 5.
Playing more than 35 minutes: 1 win from 6.
Longest playing time: 59 minutes. Against Storm and Dragons. Lost both games.
The fewer minutes he plays, the better he looks.

The Billy hype train ends this weekend. It's all on Reece.
