POST GAME Round 24 - Broncos vs Bulldogs

Watched the last 5 minutes again. Our defence after that dog shot from Katiano was brutal to say the least. Other clubs will watch that and think twice before stirring us up

I put the majority of Bulldog mistakes down to Bronco pressure.

Yeah I said that, but some of those mistakes were amateur. They were embarrassing towards the end. Any other team would have just tried to complete a set, but they couldn't even do that. It was weird.

Not understating our performance, but it was definitely the case of We were Great and at the same time they were TERRIBLE. Sort of like our last game against them, we were terrible and they were great. Unfortunately the ref's didn't help us like they did them.

Was Lachlan Maranta out there dressed as Curtis Rona?

How good is it to have our kick chase back? Gillett & Thaiday are really leading the way and finally helping Boyd out. That was something Hodges was the best at and probably what we miss most from his game.

There was only one blemish with Gillett failing to mark up on Kasiano, otherwise it was a very impressive display.

Is it Gilletts left shoulder that is injured? If so I wonder if he was trying to manouver to make contact with his right and was fooled by Fatiano sliding out.

The win certainly makes the race for the Top 4 that more interesting heading into the final two rounds of the competition. If Brisbane can build on this performance and gain some measure of revenge against Melbourne & Sydney, you never know. If the Broncos do go onto achieve a Top 4 spot, it'd be interesting to know who they'd rather play between the Storm and the Sharks.

Lots to look forward to, but last night was certainly a nice way to kick the round off.

Dogs have to play the Cows then Rabbits. There is a bit of hope of us finishing top 4 yet particularly if we beat Melb. I will be cheering the Warriors this week, that result would nearly put our destiny back in our hands.

Is it the way he breaths, or the fact he is breathing that annoys you?
I've never particularly liked the guy, but I have nothing against him. It's just that there would never be silence.

Just watched the game and without the refs, we would of won 20-2, probably more. Smashing effort by the broncos, if we can channel the post Parker face kick (deserves 4 weeks btw) we can win it all.

Thaiday and Blair have been massive lately, when they are both running and hitting hard everyone else seems to lift. Blair has definitely been off for most of this season(pretty much since he was suspended?) but looks to be back on track now

I read somewhere Rona didn't get charged because there was no camera angle that definitively showed him touching the ref. Is this true? Can't they just ask the ref?

It's their standard go-to tactic - just make shit up as they go along.

You mean they didn't have the angle that fox sports news showed? Where the camera is zoomed in on Rona and the referee? How corrupt are these blokes?
