For those playing along at home, #15 David Mead.

Tragic. 😂

Losing Haas was actually a blessing in disguise
Haas was playing like a man possessed unstoppable but the injury gave a chance for the likes of Bullemor, Robati, Kennedy, Kobe to step up and show what they've got.
Same with Turpins injury gave us a good look at Paix.
But if Payne didn't get injured imagine what the result would of been

Good win.

The Farnworth haters will be kept quite for a while I would suggest, thought without Albert Kelly making some basic errors we were entitled to put 50 on them there.

Not sure how any Newcastle fan can be confident heading into next week

Exactly my point. They all realised it was time they stepped up and all put in

This afternoon we witnessed glimpses of Herbies multi skills..Speed,clever footwork, solid defense, good offload clever kick through from a line break when he inter changed his ball carry at speed. The reason why? Herbie received clean ball himself as opposed to the man on man passes he has been receiving when he has to battle through close on three defenders. The ones who understand potential will appreciate Herbie has so much development in him and so much to offer, A lethal kicker of the ball too. One of the tough Northern English breed.

Great game from Herbie. His opposing centre just couldn't contain him. I still think he got robbed of a TA, Niu didn't lose that ball.

Milford made me angry again ... why couldn't he start playing like this 6 fucking months ago. He would have been worth offering him a contract then. In this form he would make an ideal partner for Reynolds. **** him

Niu has plenty of promise in attack ... not do much in defense. He could be a gun fullback, if he fixes that defense.

Cobbo will be a gun... I'm loving his development.

I'm liking the look of Paix, I'm hoping a good pre-season from him can propel him above Turpin in the pecking order ... if the rumours about Hodgson are true, then Kevvie is aware he needs a better hooker

P.s. anyone notice how much better we play when games closer resembles rugby league instead of Vlandys-ball ... pretty sure there were only 2 x 6-agains tonight, although neither went to us

I've noticed they have really put the 6 agains away over the last month or so. Much better to watch.

Not against moving Oates and Isaako on but boy we’d be short of wingers if that happens.

How would that even look?

1. Niu
2. Farnworth
3. Lee
4. Staggs
5. Cobbo
Don't forget Pereira and Mead. Kevie may add to the wing stocks in the off season.

None of us "hate" Herbie but many of us think he might be more suited to the wing, where being able to pass isn't so critical. I'm one of his harshest critics, and even think he dudded 2-3 tries, but I still think he was one of our best in an immensely pleasurable win.

Which tries did he dud?

I thought he could’ve put Oates in the corner three times but instead of drawing his man, he did that Herbie thing and either went to ground or put Oates offside. Another time he kicked inside - a high risk play - instead of a simple pass outside.

The kick was the only one and it resulted in a try anyway. Not sure what occasions your talking about? Except the one where he did throw the pass and set up Oates try.

Any info on Turpin's injury? Commentary said he broke his jaw but I don't remember any incidents.

Thanks for everything Lexi!

Hey!!

Agree on the Herbie I dont see him being moved.
We are incredibly stupid if we offload Oates. The team has gone better since Oates has been back and that's part because of his carries. An outside back that does what Oates does is so important to a footy side
Meh', 5 tries in his past 29 games. Wingers are supposed to score majors and he doesn't score them anymore. When you are on 500K per season, you want your winger to do more than just hit ups. The Broncos will do well if they can shed at least part of his contract.
