I can only assume Arthars on the bench is a genuine shift in tactics from Madge. Baker and Semu are obviously available, even if one’s unimpressive and the other’s untested. Even Luke Gale’s on the bus.

Arthars could come on late for Junt, slotting in at centre and switching Staggs or Shibs to second row? Or does Madge tell our 2-5 to work their arses off coming out of our end, then pop Arthars in to relieve whoever gets knackered first?

Personally I was hoping to see Semu have a crack.

From what I can tell I think we may only have Coby Black, Israel Leota and Josh Rogers left in the top 30 outside the 22 that have been named.

I know Semu, Baker, etc. have been named and there may still be some changes before kick off, but there aren't many alternatives left.

Its this. Arthars has played plenty of NRL and he gets the call up. Probably need someone with experience over picking a debutant that's not ready to don the jerseys, regardless of what position they play.

But Baker’s there… he’s obviously not as good or experienced a player as Arthars, but he’s played 59 NRL games and fits our (usual) requirements for a 17.

I actually learned some grammar from this . The apostrophe is for possession not for the missing letter in this case . I didn't deliberately use that apostrophe ? It took me a while to work out what you were talking about .

Im quite surprised that Piakura is getting more time on the sideline, it must be worse than 1st originated. Arthurs picking seems ok to me as hes the only back up back we have available. If one of our back 5 go down hes there to cover.

Piakura is in a bad position. Once you lose your chin, it becomes easier to be KO'd. You see it with boxers, once they have a KO, it is not uncommon for them to get more later on. Also, how it seems to be the same players that get concussions.

He is only young and will not understand the full extent of CTE, so will want to continue.

I don't think he is one of the players that developed a plan B career, because he has been told since a young age he was going to be a star.
