Round 25 - Broncos vs Rabbitohs - Post Match Discussion

49 missed tackles and 18 errors from the Broncs. Hardly makes impressive reading. It was a game that meant little to either team and it showed.
Amazing we only conceded 10 points with stats like that.

I'm happy with the game, we didn't have anything to play for anyway.

I'm now starting to become a big fan of McCullough. He was so **** at the start of the year and most of last year but he's improved immensley from about the midway point of this season and is actually awesome now. His defense was brilliant today and he was attacking with speed, love it! Just what we need to really push in the finals.

Can't wait for next week.

Once again, our forwards dominated the opposition pack, laying the platform for our backs, who were a bit off the pace today.
The win was really never in doubt against a team full of confidence, with a damaging attack, and the pink merkins pushing them.

Fair dinkum, some decisions today flaggergasted me. The Taylor penalty at the start, the Ben Ross play the ball, the young Roberts catch "in goal" were some of those, to be fair all of them by that idiot called Maxwell.

We do need to correct those handling errors and get more ball control heading into the finals, even though we only seem to commit them at the right side of the field, i.e. the opposition 20 meters, where taking risks is warranted, and with a bit of luck and those offloads and passes stick, we put 40 on 50uff$ today, and 30 on pretty much any other team in the comp...

How many times did we knock on? Geez. Substandard performance but it was still enough to beat them, which is great. Lolz at Isaac Luke.

Come on Fozz - it was a courageous performance for Luke just to be out there after his severe concussion the week before...

ROFL.

I don't know how many times I heard "stay down Issac!" yelled out from the stands. Actually I do. 19.

Greg Inglis out for the season with an ankle injury.

In other news, shares in Big Dad's Pies and Four n Twenty skyrocket.

Post concussion syndrome explains it.

Some fellas had a sign up our end that read "Souths Diving Panel" and they had score cards too,

We played ****. If Broncos were on the scoreline would have been worse. Hopefully next week we show up. Losing Sutton last week really hurt. We lost a fair bit of structure and Farrell didn't really get involved at 5/8.

How many mistakes in the end did the refs make? I know we had a fair few calls go our way and a few went Broncos way as well. One of the worst performances by them for huge blunders, not your usual 50/50 calls. However their performance will probably be overshadowed by all the fights this week.

Either way, flying up at 6am and driving back down to Sydney that night was a huge mistake. All 4 of us were stuffed by the time we got home at 9.30am this morning, I am even worse after going to work as well.

Other than the Lockyer 40/20 I'm having a difficult time thinking of any other call that went our way.

Even that I think there's doubt first contact was with the line.

I can't think of a call that went our way either

Well I know this won't be very helpful to you guys who remember games better than me as I cannot recall specifics, but I do remember watching the game with my son and twice saying 'well, theres one that went our way' about ref calls

But I think it was very 1 sided in favour of the rabbits

I'm not sure why everyone claims we had nothing to play for? every point we put on the rabbits ment one less point we needed to overtake the Eagles.

Mean game, just caught the hilights since couldnt watch it live (was attending a birthday) roll on Eagles!

What do you mean? our P/D is way off...... The Manly game is so iffy... we want to play good but honestly, I'd rather NO injuries and straight to week 1 finals. My opinion but I don't want them busting their gut for a 'nothing' game. It's not even Locky's last game - he's there next week at suncorp. BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

You're forgetting that every point we score adds to ours and subtracts from Manlys this week, And evey point we scored against the Rabbits ment 1 less point we needed to score this week.

Yeah. We needed to score more last week. Can't see us beating Manly by 43 even without the Stewarts and foran (Lussick is irrelevant)
