Newcastle's winning margin would only matter if it was 14 or more, which opens the possibility of us losing and remaining 7th. But if the Dragons lose, finishing 7th would mean playing the Warriors in NZ whereas 8th would mean Penrith in Sydney. So by all means cheer for Newcastle, but 1-12 is our best outcome.

Who is going for the Dragons on here? Even if it's away, I'd prefer to play them than the Warriors just to keep the stamina/energy levels up for the finals.

If we win by 32 or more we'd finish 5th, in which case we'd still play NZ if the Dragons won.
