I need to vent this up front: The channel 9 commentary was a ****ing disgrace tonight. ****ing Phil Gould seriously, there is one **** who makes love to the sound of his own voice; and he, along with the knuckle dragging idiots around him couldn't have made it clearer he had a fat wad down on the Cows to win. A ****ing disgusting call. It makes the game feel so cheap and low brow and nasty.
As for us, really not up to it in defence at the moment. We consistently concede almost as much as we score. Yes it's served us well in winning games at all costs, but Melbourne will punish you for those sorts of mistakes and they won't let you back into it. I love Reece as a player, he is the best player to watch when he's on the fly, but he has to start maturing at some stage. Looking flashy takes you far with the kids and the teeny boppers but it won't win you comps.
I was happy to see Madge so livid at HT, and didn't look much happier at FT. He knows we still aren't executing in defence or maintaining good possession when needed, especially when in all likelihood we will barely cling on to 4th only because the Wahs couldn't spoil Cherry's party. I'd rather that NOT be the circumstances in which we make the top 4. It's a lowsy way to get there. ****ing earn it.
May as well treat next week like our Grand Final. I would be cracking the whips this week. Also my god, Riki is such a shit player. He needs to be replaced in a real hurry. Piakura also had some truly stupid moments tonight as well.
