Take the win as that game was a lottery.

If Walsh finds balance he will be the most lethal player in the game.

Haas is worth what we pay him, absolute machine. I thought Hetherington and Karapani were good value tonight as well.

**** Off Jordan Riki…absolute spud that will cost us games…we have to get our backrow sorted, it’s so far off the top teams.
I keep saying it…. Riki can **** right off, go to the Wahs, do your modelling gigs and worry about that. You’re a shit footy player. Have been since 2024.

I'd be alright with him if he could just run over a smaller defender close to the line, he doesn't need to catch them like Eli Katoa or Nanai, we don't need the flicks, just beat a defender, that's all.

His kick pressure is good, he works hard in other areas, he just can't beat a man.

Reece Walsh is Reece Walsh.

He's rocks and diamonds, he's hot and cold, but he never dies wondering. He's not the kind of player that will go what if I did this or what if I did that, he will do it because he goes after the game. He doesn't shy away from the occasion and in the big moments he wants the ball in his hands to deliver for his team.

I said this about Nui after a Dragons game a few years back but I don't mind if you make errors if you're going after the game. On that occasion Nui was the reason why we won and last night if Walsh wasn't playing, we don't win. In fact, if Walsh wasn't playing the past couple of months we aren't in the top 4. I would rather have Walsh making errors going after the game then going into his shell after he makes an error because he's afraid to make another one.

You become more consistent through experience, through developing and working to eliminate the bad habits from your game which he does. He's not the finished product but he will get there. We need to remember he's only 23. He hasn't even fully matured yet. As he matures, we'll see improvement. Just gotta be patient with him.

I for one love that he is in the team and I wouldn't change that.

As someone pointed out in the Riki thread…
He wouldn’t make the top 40 of the 32 back rowers picked each week

I'm pretty sure we've only got one brain cell allocated to the back row, and they share it. So, if they get caught out with the brain cell being on the other side, they just sit there like a cat with a colander on its head.

You can see the higher functions return when they get it back, it's heartwarming.

Further reinforcing this hypothesis: Piakura's head knocks have been endangering that lonely cell all season. That way you can have two brainless 2RF on the ground at once, if Peeks has banged the thing into insensibility by getting KO'd, or just scoring a try with his head, there's a delay whilst the trainers have to bring the brain cell back on from the sheds.

Haha hey guys!
Remember that time we conceded two tries against 12 men!

How the **** are we 4th on the ladder.
If you’re referring to last night no I don’t because it didn’t happen. **** face was back on for their second try.

As Gould rightly pointed out last night Walshy has the memory span of a goldfish.

IF he tries something and it does not come off, he simply moves on to the next attempt. That intercept pass he threw for the cow's runaway try was quickly forgotten minutes later when he threw another similar pass to Shiba for a try.

While we're on the subject of passes, that pass Billy threw for the Karp's try must be rated as just as good as any his old man ever threw in his heyday.

Finally, if we don't win the penalty count and 6 agains this week at our home ground against the biggest cheats in the comp - we riot!

100% agree with everything here. Walsh imo is the most promising player in the whole league and by a long shot the shit he is doing at his age and the way he isn't scared of throwing the ball around is what makes him elite. The longer he plays the better he will get knowing when a play is/ isnt on and he will be one of NRLs greatest Fullbacks of all time. I could easily see him playing halfback in the future as well, broncos hold onto him long term and we are in extremely safe hands

Not sure if it's been mentioned but Madge said post-game that Ezra and Cobbo are progressing really well.
He sure did. Perhaps he’s trying to keep their progress under wraps. After we win in Canberra W1, we will get our week off during which Ezra would be given opportunity to return healthy & could end up playing our home pre final.

Not sure who(Sam Burgess?) but MM did a similar thing like Ezra’s scenario when Souffs won their premiership in 2014.

J.Hunt deserves some credit. Thought he was really good.
He’s certainly not the signing I hoped he’d be when he first came to us, but he’s turned it up a bit this year. At QCup level he really impressed me, wasn’t wasting his opportunity to get noticed by the coach

Lies. Kevvie is not smart enough to string an 8 word coherent sentence together.

I for one would like to applaud the cowboys. To concede 11 line breaks for only 1 set restart is excellent discipline. Speaks to their dedication to defence and fitness
Yes I think they have played better football than their position on the ladder. Tom Dearden has had an outstanding year, wish he was our 7 going forward. However drinky he can suck it!

Just me or did it feel like Hunt didn’t actually do anything most of the game except a couple of times he ran in a circle
Hunt has been good going to be interesting to see what they will do. I think reyno 7, Walters 6 and hunt at 9. Ezra comes back then we go back to Walters impact hooker
