I love what piakura has become but he needs to cool his jets. If he came out and did shit like that in finals we could be a player down and give away multiple penalties, far more risk then reward so could be a blessing in disguise.

The worry will be if we lose another edge player (putting carrigan to an edge which improves our edge defence but worsens our attack from the middle), or if we lose 2 more forwards, then we'd be dipping into some poor depth (logan bayliss, rookie te kura) for the last bench spot.

We lost the big moments. Maddens intercept, mozer not wrapping up the ball, not taking advantage of 12 men, sailor letting the ball bounce + being taken into touch. Can't do that against Melbourne. Gotta win those moments - that's why Melbourne are hard to beat. They rarely beat themselves.

None of those guys will be playing in the important game though, so that is important and those three guys will be better for the experience next year. I also get the feeling our regular first graders in the team weren't giving their all with more important games a week away. Not that they didn't want to give their all, sometimes it is just subconscious. Unfortunately, Piakura decided he wanted to miss the finals as a result.

We are expecting Panthers win & Warriors win or Panthers lose & warriors lose to avoid storm, not necessarily scared of storm with our full squad but there will be injuries or suspension for sure.
