Coming in off his wing, positionally, he should have been more disciplined. He knows the role so while it wouldnt have helped him having a back rower next to him, i still think he should have been better defensively.
Oates would've shut that play down. Long live Oates.

Something is seriously up with our attack inside the 20. Feels so ineffective.

What did you expect yesterday with that clusterfuck of a lineup?
We still had some hope whilst Walsh was on the field....once he went off, well.....Jock Madden was never gonna be the answer.

Ezra finally woke up....waaay too late. We're gonna need him to be playing out of his skin over the next few weeks...
Not sure if its in him to do so.

Whatever you don't read any comments on facebook about the Walsh injury. I've seen numerous monkey emoji's, people calling Walsh a sook, other people having a go at the broncos for trying to put him back on... etc etc... it really is the worst.

At this point I am hoping that the broncos give TPJ a deal right before the next penrith game with the terms in the contract of causing as many accidental HIA's as possible.

Well we weren’t in the 20 without Walsh other than the play he got banged up so I was more talking about after the injury as you are alluding to. But hey even before that it was going to be affected without Reynos presence and play choices. Not to mention Payne’s presence sucks defences right in.

Was never going to be a walk in the park. With the side at full strength (Reyno and Haas excluded) we had a chance but the second we had our forwards playing backs, kotoni swapping edges, Selwyn calling defensive plays, middles underperforming, Madden playing 7, our other 2 spine members being far from there former selves it was going to be a rough night. I’m not even remotely pissed off about how we played last night. What more could the players have done. I think we were fucked by that tackle, injuries, the refs and the decision to let capewell go. We have a Dylan Lucas, a Klese Haas or **** even a half decent back up second rower on the bench - albeit Piakura sucked at centre defensively it didn’t help Baker was way worse inside him - we would have been in a lot better position..

Damage control 2 wins between cows, Storm and Dolphins and I will dance the streets naked. Gives us a crack at getting a positive record in hopefully our last week without Payne and Walsh.

"Having a go at the Broncos for trying to put him back on". What's to say that it wasn't actually Reece who was so desperate and insistent about wanting to go back on .. so letting him go and catch a couple of balls on the sideline.. was all the Broncos could do to shut him up (after all, he is now and again known to have a bit of a yap on him)and make him realise that he can't see from one eye, was badly injured, and wasn't going back on. Tbh, I wouldn't be surprised to find out that is exactly what happened.

Somehow after being able to reflect on last night without all of the raw emotion, I can't help but feel it will be a good thing for us...
I agree, I dont think it's panic stations yet and this will build resilience in the team, as well as get some km's into the legs of less played people. It kinda feels we are getting our injuries out of the way for a nicer run home later, and this adversity will make our eventual run of wins all the more sweet.

I can’t give an objective opinion on the Walsh incident, too close to it as a Bronco’s fan, if it were up to me he’d get life.

NRL is trial by media and based on the opinions of Nine & Fox May was always getting a walk.

Not much to say on the game that hasn’t already been said. Missing our 3 best players and going up against this Penrith juggernaut about the only thing you can really judge them on is their attitude toward the contest, the result was never in question.

Man I was looking forward to these next 2 grudge matches, NRL can be cruel.
