Thank god shiba is dropped, he’s been way too complacent. I don’t see that hunger that made him rise to his Queensland debut.

You need to think of the bench in terms of the full 6 players now.

Good chance Shibasaki only takes the field if we lose an outside back

Is this even confirmed?

In last week’s game the Kayo commentators were talking about HIAs dictating whether the extra players could be ‘activated’, which I thought was a thing of the past.

It wouldn’t surprise me if the commentators were totally wrong, but also wouldn’t surprise me if the rule was more stupid and poorly explained than I realised

I think its pretty much the same as last year I.e. only 4 players can be actually "used" as an interchanged player - but now you have 6 players to choose from.

In addition you can activate a 5th player to be "used" but only if you meet the usual HIA activation rules (which is what I believe the commentary was referring too).

Any 4 of the 6 can take the field as interchanges.

For a 5th player of the 6 man bench to be able to take the field he would need to get activated as if he is the 18th man under the old rules. The coach can choose either of the remaining 2 bench players to be activated depending on the situation

Hoping after all the work he did last year to get where he is isn't wasted. His defence wasn't great on the UK tour and he's made plenty of missed tackles (5 last game). Feel like his lateral movement is too slow and he's getting beaten for speed.

Happy for Anderson. Hoping Mariner can handle the change in position (I know he's played centre before). Still don't like seeing Paix in the side and I'm over Riki.

Win or lose, this will be the coming of age game for Mozer.
Has a chance to lock down the #14 jersey and I believe he takes it.
We have been super patient with his development and he is going to look like he belongs.
In Madge we trust 🫡
