As scary as having Prince, Kahu, Maranta together, I'd go with:
1. Norman (ZOMG, he scored AND supported tonight...)
2. Hoffman
3. Reed
4. Kahu
5. Maranta
6. Prince
7. Wallace
8. Hannant
9. McCullough
10. Thaiday
11. Glenn
12. Gillett
13. Parker
14. Hunt
15. Dodds
16. Anderson
17. Stagg
but I think Hook will just move Gillett to centres, where he doesn't want to play, start with Dodds at front row, Thaiday back to the back row and bring in Lui and Hunt to the bench.
Let Hunt play some full games in Q Cup for a few weeks. We may need him n the halves at some stage
I would like to see Kahu get some game time in place of Hodges, Stagg replace Mac at hooker but for maybe only 10 minutes and then revert to back row, then Wallace or Hala to replace McGuire
Is the dce try the only one leaked on reed's side? I want him gone but fear he's a necessity in defence. Maybe if he is made to do constant repeat sprints of 200 metres for every pass he should have made these last two games he will learn to pass to one of our currently best attacking players. I don't know what to do with defence on the right without Hodges. He only applied a Bandaid tonight. Maybe reed to that side and someone else on reed's side? There are a few options for forwards but centre has to be decided first as it determines our second row. Parker or hala are the main contenders although both could be used with thaiday switching to the edge and one of the others centre or thaiday benched with stagg in lock. I love our spine for the first time in a while. Wingers and centres are the only concerns as of tonight. Although moose's injury needs sorting out.ó
I am honestly stunned at what seems to be a Broncos side that looks to be genuinely lacking fitness, unless this is some sort of strategy which I can't really understand.
I like Reed at centre but he does IMO need a lot of sprint training and as I keep saying, Gillett looks fat despite his welcome return to form. The determination and aggression he is showing in attack when he runs the ball looks very promising. Given plenty of ball, Gillett can be a killer back rower and I hope he is not going to be wasted at centre. With Glenn on the other side, the attack on the edges looks very very strong - again, as long as the ball gets out wide.
I just hope Gillett applies the same energy in defence and stops those lapses into grabbing rather than hitting hard.
But most of all I am looking forward to the combinations developing as Prince grows into the side, Wallace keeps up the energy and determination with his running and passing, and Norman continues to keep moving up into the line.
The big question is who plays right centre. Hope it isn't Gillett. The forward pack will be fine. We will miss McGuire but Anderson and Dodds should fill the void. Hunt to come back on the bench IMO with Maranta into the centres and Kemp or Berryman onto the wing.
