Tough loss for the Gold Coast but well done to Newcastle, coming up with 3 straight wins to the start the season and doing them all the hard way is good signs for them. Referring was a farce and not at the standard of first grade I've never seen a ref put the wrong player on report.

I think Sezer was trying to go for a 40/20. Surely he would have seen there was no Titans player that could have got it.

If he was going for that play, he should have kicked it to his left. There wasn't any Knights players back there to get it.

I'll raise you Ben Roberts a few years ago. Trailing by 4(?) the bulldogs force a mistake and get a scrum feed, 10m(?) out.....Roberts kicks from the scrum while a bunch of the players are still locked in. Remains to this day one of the bigger brain farts I've ever seen.

Grant and Galloway got in each others faces after a tackle, to the point where their foreheads were touching, Galloway literally slaps Grant. Half a scuffle etc. When the refs calmed things down and were talking to the captains Inglis very clearly describes it as a bitch slap. Even the ref had a bit of a chuckle.
