Can someone get David Middleton on the blower and find out how long it’s been since the Broncos were able to field the same team two weeks in a row. That’s got to be some kind of progress, no matter how minor.

hmmm ... Ofahengaue dropped to the bench, interesting

Interesting selections of note;
Storm, Jennings is the weak link in that backline...am surprised Bellamy has not blown a fuse and replaced him already. Lumelume or Hynes would be an upgrade imo.
Panthers, will be an unnecessary risk for Cleary to play after the short turn around. If Burton gets the late nod, they won't skip a beat - he is that good.
Sea Eagles, young pivot Josh Schuster at 2RF...why Des? This team is totally clue less without Tom Trbojevic.
Roosters, Lam is getting the job done but if he does not stand out in this match Sam Walker will be taking over in the 7 shortly.
Raiders, pity Sebastian Kris has to make way for the returning captain. Great showing in the opening 2 matches.
Warriors, Kane Evans still playing in Q cup, must a be form/fitness thing atm. Good luck to SOS on the debut and hope the injury free run continues.
Bulldogs, RFM is a big out and so is DWZ. Don't get the hype about Averillo, Lewis is a better defensive half than him.
Broncos, only issue is lock...sooner Asiata starts there the better.
Sharks, the coach must love Connor Tracey. The half/hooker is starting at centre now.
Tigers, if a player deserved being dropped it would have been Asu Kepaoa. The lose a whole lot of aggression with Leilua in the stands.
Titans, Tanah Boyd finally gets a shot at his preferred position.

I like the selection of Schuster in the Backrow ( not just for SVRL sake) as it will help his development if used the correct way and not as a battering ram.
He's played in the position at a pinch at times through juniors and is a big body, loves the physical side of the game for a 6.
He should also provide another point of attack on field with DCE and Foran both struggling to create through the first two rounds.

It's only a matter of time until he becomes their long term 6, and playing alongside Foran he'll learn the trade up close.

That’s a big 6 he’s like 106kg or something isn’t he?

Correct. I wouldn't be surprised if he was to transition into a Wade Graham type mould down the line.

Ash Taylor's absence will hurt the Tits.

Both Nathan Cleary (Concussion - 1 Week) and Ryan Papenhuyzen (Neck - 1 Week) have been ruled of tomorrow night's clash.

Matt Burton will replace Nathan Cleary.

There's no word on who will replace Papenhuyzen. In all likelihood Nicho Hynes will shift to fullback with Tyson Smoothy to come onto the bench.

We should watch Hynes intently, see if he is worth an offer.

It's a shame that both teams will be understrength tonight. It's a big game but the end result could be misleading either way with both teams struggling for combinations.

Still, it's an opportunity to watch Matt Burton in a big game environment. He's as good a prospect as any but I'm wary of the media hype machine surrounding him. Physically he appears more than ready to handle the big time, it's just a matter of whether he has the vision and skill-set to create points. Cleary will likely have him play very patiently tonight, test out Hynes and G. Jennings, take the line on and follow Luai's advice - I'm very keen to see how he performs.

Looking forward to the battle between To'o and Addo-Carr. I can see Melbourne sending a lot of traffic down that side and they'll really test Momirovski & To'o out. To'o is one of the most important players the Panthers have, so even if Addo-Carr puts one on him, I can see him causing the Storm defenders some real hassels especially if the kicking game isn't on point. For Melbourne, I think you have to forget about Edwards who makes his living off of his positioning and clean-up work and just purely work over Staines and To'o time and time again. If you take care of To'o tackle one, you could effectively 'win' the set then and there.
