This would be a much easier assignment if we were at full strength.

Staggs likely to be suspended and Glenn maybe out. Hoppa has to be hooked. So starting to look thin:

1. Isaako
2. Farnworth
3. Arthars
4. Boyd
5. Coates
6. Dearden
7. Croft
8. Flegler
9. Turpin
10. Haas
11. Oates
12. Teo
13. Carrigan

14. Paix
15. Ofahenguie
16. Kennedy
17. Lodge

Yuck

Not looking forward to this.

I’m seriously worrying about our second rower now, given the lack of choices, I wouldn’t mind Oates shifting to back rowers.

And I don’t want Offa in 17, Rhys Kennedy is way much better than him.

i wouldn't mind seeing this next week

1. Isaako
2. Farnworth
3. Staggs
4. Boyd
5. Arthars
6. Milford
7. Croft
8. Lodge
9. Turpin
10. Haas
11. Glenn
12. Ofahengaue
13. Carrigan

14. Oates
15. Flegler
16. Bullemore
17. Kennedy

notes:

1. I think it's time to transition Oates into a backrow role. especially now while we have injuries and suspensions. he seems to be struggling on the wing

2. Hopoate just isn't first grade material

3. if Staggs is suspended the Farnworth or Arthars into the centers, Coates onto the wing

Is it a matter of Hopoate playing on an edge where he's known to be not well equipped.

Turpin needs a break during the game. 65 tackles is not ideal for him

If staggs is suspended and Glenn injured

1. Isaako
2. Farnworth
3. Arthars
4. Boyd
5. Cotes
6. Milford
7. Croft
8. Flegler
9. Turpin
10. Haas
11. Oates
12. Bullemore
13. Carrigan

14. Paix
15. Lodge
16. Joffa
17. Kennedy

If I got more options, I’d definitely drop Joffa too, useless

15. Hoppa
16. Flegler
17. Joffa *sigh*

I think oates has used up his runs on the board, herbie showed more desire to win the contest (fighting in tackles, trying to play it quickly etc) in the 20 mins he played than oates did all night.

Similar to mine but i would have kennedy in for hoppa after his efforts tonight. At a pinch i think carrigan could maybe play second row if bullemore required a rest.

I can understand that, I’ve got Hoppa in there purely to give Carrigan a spell and provide some energy in the middle.

I would have carrigan start at lock maybe pump out 30-40 and when he returns to the field (with about 30-25mins left) replace bullemore.

Glenn is expected to miss a fair bit of a time, the cut was so deep that the bone was exposed, surgery tomorrow morning.

Ofahengaue had a similar one in Origin last year and missed about a month from memory.
