POST GAME Round 4 - Broncos vs Roosters

I’ve been a believer that Siebs had the smarts to make this work, but it’s overwhelming clear this group won’t play for him. Cut your losses and pay him out now. Would anyone like to see Hodges get a crack? I’d feel confident in him having the respect of the playing group. I’m not a fan of kevvie personally.

I would go Hodges also, Kev to me just lacks something. But maybe it's the Broncos he lacks. Siebs is on thin ice.

At least the effort was there when Hook was coaching. For Seibolds entire tenure here we've coasted by as a group of individuals, winning games through ad hoc plays, individual players just ripping the game apart, that sort of thing. Whether we've got players missing or the best 1-17s going around I have absolutely no faith that the coach will get them to perform to even half their ceiling.

Should never have signed a a coach with only 1 year experience for 5 years in the first place.
It was obvious from the very beginning that this would end in tears
The bloke cant coach and his first grade results prove it. His record is appalling.
Have a look at his win/loss ratio then look at the for and against for his coaching record.

Even allowing for injuries and suspensions we shouldnt kop a flogging like this. Errors ill discipline poor decision making and poor coaching is killing us. Doubt that Redciffe Dolpins or Bureigh Bears would have got pantsed like we have tonight.

These sorts of results are the reason why our players are happy to field offers from other clubs and see what the market can offer. There's genuinely no way we can continue to sell a premiership dream to these demoralised kids.

We don't even look like improving.

Even before Turpin was ruled out, I said it was going to get worse before it gets better and sadly the Broncos proved me right.

The Roosters are a quality side that have maintained the same core structures for seven years with quality recruits filling those roles all the time. Tonight was really no different and even with a full strength side it would have been a big ask.

The Broncos were awful, I'm not skirting around that, but these new rules have excacerbated things and made things appear far worse than what they are. Two back to back six again tries and the night was over. Roosters smelt blood in the water and just kept playing while the Broncos just couldn't wait to get off the field. Without the fans there to lift them, without that atmosphere and with everything going against you against a better outfit, it just piles up. Suddenly all the penalties are going against them, they hardly got any relief penalties until it was too late in the half to really do anything with it, and the refs can't even make up their minds on obstructions.

I said last week it was a young team and I stand by that. These players who are going to make up the nucleus of this team like Dearden, Paix, Niu, Coates, Bullemor, Haas, Fifita, Carrigan, Flegler etc. are all young players and we saw tonight why you can't carry too many of them because they're too raw.

Certainly a horrific night for the club, but I feel a lot of this has been exacerbated by a bad draw, bad injury toll, an interrupted season, new rule interpretations that make games far too one-sided and honestly some tough calls.

The most disappointing thing for me is this is nothing new, we’ve been reliant on individual brilliance for a few years now with little to no actually footy nouse in the team.

“I’m not going to apologise. I’ve worked damn hard this year and tried my best and if I’m not good enough then…
“I’d rather be in the arena failing than standing outside throwing stones.”

Mission accomplished Seibold.

There's your accountability, lol.

The **** is so out of his depth it isn't funny.

Paul white has a bit to answer for.
How’d that review go at the end of our last worst ever smashing?

I said it at the time, but how they got rid of Wayne didn't go down well with a lot of this footy club. Bennett's time was up, no doubt about it, but they should have dealt with it in a way that wouldn't get the players offside. I dont think they don't play for Seibs either, they seem to like him, we just don't have a clue what we are doing.

Yep

In more good news, we can bank on Lodge being suspended next week!

And according to Radley, Milford should be suspended for his intentional reverse chicken wing whilst holding the ball...

And here come the excuses in the presser.
