Round 4 - Broncos vs. Storm - Pre-Match Discussion

Well this is shaping up to be a nice birthday present.

Hodges should be a welcome inclusion but I doubt he'll be enough to pull an upset. Storm are a class above everyone and while I don't know if they'll rack up the 30, they should win this quite comfortably.

Mind you, stranger things have happened. Remember Round 9 2010? Never thought we'd be a chance and look what happened.

Anyways, what changes would you guys make?

If Dugan plays I give us a 10% chance to win, without him 1%.

I think we have to change the half combo, whilst it's not ideal to chop and change this early it's obvious Wallace has no scope in attack and Hunt should be given his chance. I'd swap Wallace and Hunt.

Hoffman is a must for centre IMO he is one guy who has some form, he's strong and hits the line and can offload in a tackle, certainly won't lose anything from Reed. That leaves a wing spot for whoever.

I'd keep the forwards for now.

I'm gonna answer this tomorrow, cos right now my answer is keep Hoffman, Glenn gillett, maranta, hodges. F*** the rest off and fill the team with anyone that gives a damn. Tell the players to do the exact opposite of what griffin tells them

The only thing to look forward to is that we can't score less than we did tonight.

On the other hand, no way known Storm will play as bad as the Roosters did.

Lock everyone in a room watching video of teams who've beaten Melbourne at their best.

Practice new structure and set plays after watching said videos.

Oh yeah, keep Godric the hell away from them.

I just hope we continue to defend well and show something in attack. Expecting a win is like expecting it to snow in Brisbane. I hope Hook figures out a way to get the best out of what he has got.

Melbourne Storm would have to be odds on to score 30+ against us

You just had to look at how the Roosters handled our forwards. They were able to get 4 players into every tackle because our players always run one out. While it didn't stop our go forward, it means we have NO opportunity for any attacking play because we never get the defence on the back foot.

Until Hook wakes up and realises one out crap is not good enough and starts having forwards run in pairs or threes, with short passes between them, we're just not going to produce anything.

I actually think we might get up. The boys will fire up. It will be a low scoring game.

Actually, changed my mind.

1. Dugan
2. Hoffman
3. Norman
4. Hodges
5. Maranta
6. Prince
7. Hunt
9. Wallace

We've got no creativity at all. I still think Hunt is the most creative but has been wasted as a bench hooker which is just ruining him.

I'm hanging to see Kahu......hope he starts impressing in the QCup

If it gets McCollough out of hooker I could live with that Coxy.

Are we all hoping on the sack Macshiet bandwagon?
