The biggest problem I see, is even if Gee & Hook decided that our roster isn't actually premiership material...what quality player in his right mind would want to come and play for us???

Dugan! In fact he could line up for us next week.

I'm almost relieved I can't make it to next week's game. Praying for a fit Hodges.

i just want to see some attack from us.

oh wait been saying that for the last two years.

the best thing about this game is i dont expect to win. and on what we've seen so far this season they should do it by 20 points or more. so anything better than that might be a positive. regarless, i will watch the team, and support htem, as always.

I think we need to start looking at bringing in Kahu, and possibly Kemp. Kahu is our only hope as a rookie back, we can't let him slip away like we did with Gagai. Kemp has been awful since after 2008, but at least brings some speed and variety to our side.

Kahu needs more time.

I think fans like the idea of Kahu, but have barely seen enough on him to comment.

I can't see Melbourne racking up a heap of points against us, but I also can't see us scoring any points against them, at all.

Yeah, I haven't seen anything of him before this year. I know the club and the press thinks highly of him, and considering how bad Reed has been and how injury prone Hodges is, I thought it might have been good to give him a taste. Though now that I think about it, the club and the press also thinks highly of Norman, so maybe he's just a Norman clone...

we didn't let Gagai slip away ... his attitude and lazy approach to training was responsible for that (plus i'm sure there is more we never heard about). although it seems like his sacking (or release) from the Broncos was a wake up call for him, and that is good to see, who knows we may get him back one day.

I think Kahu is a completely different story to Gagai. he seems to have worked really hard and been really determined during his long injury lay-offs and i really hope he gets his chance sooner rather than later ... because he certainly deserves it

Since apparently we are going after Dugan, who has been a lot worse than Gagai, I'm sure that means that the club admits that losing Gagai was a mistake, so he kinda did slip away IMO.

It's understandable, desperate times call for desperate measures but we need to remain level headed.

Bringing in a rookie centre coming off of two knee reconstructions isn't going to change anything.

At the moment, it's the team work that's lousy.

except Gagai still wouldn't be in the team because Hook isn't going to reward him for his lazy attitude thats why Copley was selected ahead of him when Yow Yeh was injured.

and if Dugan pulls the same stunts for us he will find himself looking for another club as well. but if this his his wake up call and he gets his shit together, then we could find ourselves with a very valuable player.

Can we stop the gagai pity party yet? As many people have said there is obviously more to it than we are being told but every week the 'why oh why did we let Dane go' rhetoric starts up again. F*** Dane the little b****

Positives:
- Broncos are only averaging 12 points a game against in defence

Negatives:
- Broncos are only averaging 12 points a game in attack

1. Dugan
2. Kemp
3. Hoffman
4. Hodges
5. Maranta
6. Prince
7. Hunt

9.Wallace

Only forwards on the bench, Norman/Macca can go to Qcup for the week.

The only side this team will beat is one as poorly coached as ours. All this talk of shifting deck chairs on the titanic misses the point.

What is the point of having say, Gagai in the team when he will never get the ball, properly positioned and with support?

We have such strike power in our back row but we can't use it. All the talk is about dumping this player and bringing in that player when the real issue is a new style of coaching based on creating structures in attack based on depth, bodies in motion and support.

So far, 99% of talk in these forums seems to believe that it is an individual who is the saviour. Rubbish. It is the team, and the the game plan and the leaders on the field who make it happen - and it ain't gonna be this year.
