1. Dugan
2. Kemp
3. Hoffman
4. Hodges
5. Maranta
6. Prince
7. Hunt

9.Wallace

Only forwards on the bench, Norman/Macca can go to Qcup for the week.

Speed on the wings and in the centres?!? That's craziness drag c'mon mate that's not how you win games

As I posted in the other thread on the Melobourne game - yhe curious thing is last year, for a few games, Griffin adopted a similar passing style of game to what Hasler used at Manly n now at the Dogs n we actually looked very effective in attack

Where has that gone? and why?

And you can put anyone anywhere but while the attacking style is flat, lateral go nowhere, you well, go nowhere.

We seem to confuse the sideline for the tryline

Anyway, just for fun, I'll indulge in re-arranging deck chairs on the Titanic:

1. Kemp
2. Hoffman
3. Hodges
4. Reed
5. Maranta
6. Norman
7. Prince
8. Parker
9. Macca
10. Hannant
11. Thaiday
12. Glenn
13. Stagg

14. Gillett
15. Dodds
16. Anderson
17. Timu

Positives:
- Broncos are only averaging 12 points a game against in defence

Negatives:
- Broncos are only averaging 12 points a game in attack

So if they got rid of golden point we might have a chance in making the finals?

The team I'd like to see take on the Storm

1. Bond
2. Kemp
3. Hoffman
4. Hodges
5. Maranta
6. Norman
7. Hunt
8. Hannant
9. McCullough
10. Anderson
11. Glenn
12. Thaiday
13. Parker

14. Stagg
15. Gillett
16. Hala
17. Granville/Baptiste

Bit of impact off the bench and Bond at fullback. May as well give him a go.

I am just curious, there has been lots of love for Hunt over the past few years, and again looking at just about everyone team, Hunt is at 7. I'm failing to see it and maybe I'm missing something. I've seen him start at 7 numerous times, not once have I seen him offer anything more than what we have now, let alone demand inclusion. Maybe it's just a case of ANYONE else rather than what we have. I look at other young halves, Reynolds, Reynolds, Miller, Cherry-Evans (I think about the same age) and Johnson, all have spark, speed or guile. Does anyone thing that if he was at 7 we would have won? I think many have been too harsh on Prince, first of all he is targeted in defense every game because he is new to our defensive structure, and any coach worth his salt would always send their bigger players towards the smaller ones, regardless who was there. IMO, it wouldn't matter who our halves were, if we continue to play so shallow in attack we will give no room to even the best of them. How many times did our halves get tackled with the ball because there was no one behind to pass it to?

Hunt vs Wallace is like Abbott vs Gillard.

Wallace is Gillard.

Hahahaha. Jesus that makes our situation seem even more dire.

Hunt has been pretty terrible, but unlike the rest he has never really got a chance to settle in. It was always "Here, have 1 game and do your best to prove you are a superstar". Considering how bad Wallace, Prince and Norman have been in the halves, I think it's better to give him a proper shot to either prove himself or show that he really hasn't got it.

The Broncos have handled McCullough and Hunt in bizarre fashion. They were stars of Australian schoolboys in 2007 in the halves. They were picked for the Australian schoolboys in the halves.

Despite numerous other clubs showing huge interest, Broncos picked them up, and first thing they did was convert McCullough into a hooker.
They played Hunt at halfback in Under 20s, then they promote him to first grade to play as a reserve hooker. He trains week in, week out at hooker. Then an injury happens in the halves and they expect him to slot in at halfback for a game and take the game by the balls. And people wonder why his short kicking game is erratic when he does get a go...

It just makes no sense, and I'm amazed the kid has bothered sticking around.

Hunt went to hooker originally to toughen him up, which it has, I think his defense is a lot stronger. Now he just needs a decent opportunity at HB, which seemingly won't happen as long as Wallace is fit.

Even if Wallace gets injured I guarantee Hook will move Norman to 6 and Prince to 7.

Based on the trials he probably would, it's frustrating because in the limited opportunities hunt has had in the halves he demonstrated some real vision and thought process to what he was doing, even if he didn't execute it very well.

We may find it boring and uninspiring play to watch, but I wouldn't imagine the players are enjoying the game plan either, let alone losing, and if they're not enjoying their footy then chances are they're going to perform poorly. If the club isn't careful the morale could start to snowball.

Denan Kemp has been injured in the warm up today and isn't even playing for Recdcliffe. Can rule him out for a few weeks now. Not sure of the injury

**** it. I'm jumping on the panic wagon. It only took the injury to Hodges for the house of cards to fall down.

Origin period we'll be lucky to field a Qld Cup side, though none of our current forward crop (Hannant, Parker, Thaiday, Gillett or McGuire - how do we have a QLD origin pack and not dominate week in week out????) deserve a jersey on current form.

1. Hoffman
2. Kemp/Berryman/whoever
3. Kahu (can't be any worse than Reed ATM)
4. Hodges
5. Maranta
6. Norman
7. Hunt
9. McCullough

14. Wallace

A few players in the current crop need some time in reserve grade to get the hunger back.

That's the thing. I think Hook's gameplan is way too simple, and it doesn't change to suit the team we are playing. The amount of times we simply go to the air and roll the dice inside our own 40... It's the most uninspiring shit to watch... The "second phase" kick is so much more potent - see Stagg's effort.

I deadset reckon the players are coached away from offloads. That and the fact we are behind the 8 ball in the ruck for some reason - always on our backs, never hands and knees. One off, 3 defenders on 1 forward - you need super man to get to belly in that situation. Two off, Glenn/Gillett/Thaiday footwork at the line, force first contact around the legs... You can't wrestle from there.

we had 8 more completions, made 120 fewer tackles, made 7 less errors, comfortably won possession count, forced 5 or 6 drop outs.

it wasnt the forwards that were the problem
