thats not what Big Pete is saying at all ... Kahu simply needs time to get his game back (after being out for 2 years) and confidence in the knee. you can'r rush these things and you can't do it in the NRL (especially for a rookie)

Exactly.

Kahu and Loko's situations are different and just because one player is ready (I'd question that) doesn't mean the other is.

For those calling for Kahu, did you actually watch the Dolphins/Seagulls game or catch a replay? Kahu is still a bit off the pace in that competition, throwing him into the deep end out of desperation doesn't do anybody the world of good.

I understand the frustration, believe me, this whole situation with Yow Yeh, Copley etc. it's tough but we just have to bear with it till Kahu is right.

Rumours going around that Hodges may start at fullback. Not sure who will play in the centres or what will happen with Norman.

Who cares about Norman. Hopefully he has already slopped around for the last time in a broncos jersey

I am not looking forward to this game.

Hoping Melborne are gentle on us.

Wow...reliving those videos (and watching Manly/Tigers tonight) really makes it clear what the current issues for our side are - aside from the lack of pure genius of a Lockyer/Langer/etc :tongue_smilie:

No speed. No support play. Or very, very limited amounts of both. Also, why does everyone look rooted after 20mins and they don't seem to recover? It's the start of the season!! What are they gonna be like at the end, out of puff after 10mins?!

EDIT: Oh, and Melbourne by plenty. It'll be fairly close 'til about the 25min mark while they wear us down and then they'll score, probably twice. Then again early in the 2nd half (~50min). We'll get frustrated about not converting our chances (which we'll have had some and bombed..) and the Storm romp in another 1-5 tries by full time. Hope I'm wrong...

The Broncos will be competitive until kickoff.

It's exactly that genius which leads to support play, because it happens, and the team expects it and run in support knowing there will always be a break, a pass.

Now, the only one that's left is Hodges. Amazing how the drain of genius has exposed the flaws posted repeatedly above.

Melbourne by 16+ whatever and wherever the decks chairs are on the titanic

Alfie was a deadset freak !!
Alfie was a genius, the best halfback I've seen. Andrew Johns wasn't fit enough to tie Alfie's shoelaces.

Only reason why IMO Sterlo says Johns is the best halfback he has ever seen, is because Alfie tore Sterlo a new asshole in '87 '88 and'89 State of Origin series, Alf also took Sterlings' Aussie halfback position off him, I think he is still cut up about that.

Hannant 5/8, Thaiday fullback and Hodges in the front row !!

Hook is a genius :winky:

Our forwards are supposed to be doing everything, so might as well put them in key position.
Front row is arguably the most important position outside of the spine, so might as well put our best player there.

Hook is onto something here.

Just saw some training footage (parker video) looks like we are shifting the ball well and running at speed :o

They must find the time to practice that when Hook isn't looking.

Bring on Melbourne. I'm absolutely positive we will win.

I have a strange feeling our attack will click tonight

Welp, I'm off to the game.

Half of our membership group not going says it all lol.

We are going to get rolled.

I have a feeling we're going to see a deflated squad, not prepared to play, and will not make us proud to be Broncos fans at all.

That's not the issue.. Brisbane has been running its stuff in attack for the past nine months to no avail.. Its the play book that's the problem, not the execution IMO...
