Round 4 Discussion

Potter is an absolute mong of a coach.

Play Tedesco at fullback, shift Moltzen to halfback (Miller is shit) and keep Farah on for 80 minutes!

Very scrappy game but Manly showed why they are a class outfit and won comfortably in the end. Farah being rested was extremley odd i've got no idea why you would take one of your best players and captain of the field. While im at it Round 4 tips

Sea Eagles
Bulldogs
Broncos
Sharks
Titans
Knights
Cowboys
Roosters

That DCE try was one of the most bizarre I've seen in footy.

Knew it was only a matter of time, but Gus' whinge about the obstruction calls had my eyes rolling. It's due to complaints like those from Gould that lead to the current interpretation! You can't have it both ways and sadly all I can see happening is a never ending cycle filled with complaints from bitter people like him.

The gulf between the top teams and the rest is staggering. With that said, looking forward to the Doggies/Bunnies game later this afternoon. Should be a good 'un.

Yeah Pete my thoughts exactly, and Farah having a whine about their try being called back is a joke because it was obstruction, Manly had tries disallowed which were more lineball.

The commentators like Johns keep saying 'what's the defender supposed to do" but I agree with Fittler. Why should the defence have to worry about someone running into them. Farah and others are now saying the game will change but forget the acceptance of the block play changed the game originally then evolved to the point where it's 90% of the attack inside 20.

I'm happy for it to be ruled the way it is and see if attacks can come up with a few different ideas like playing deeper, run arounds etc . Back to the future?

I agree with you ATM on the gulf between the top sides Melb, Dogs, Manly, Souffs are clearly the top 4.

Which try is Farah complaining about? The potential one to Tedesco? I don't even think James was going to make it, Snake and the cover still had enough room to stop him. I actually thought the call itself was a little tough as Lyon mis-read the situation as opposed to being obstructed. But then, I could be wrong because I'm still trying to catch up on all the interpretations.

Knights could be very up and down but I reckon they'll find their way in the Top 8. Especially considering how kind Origin should be to them. They'll lose Boyd, Kidley and perhaps Uate but they've got enough cover there.

It's not my fault stupid NRL.com doesn't adjust the time based on locality. Douches.

That's a beautifully constructed try. Superbly planned and executed and making the most of each players' strengths. Wish we had the coach who could put something like that together.

Hypnosis by aliens is the only way Griffin would come up with something like that...

I can't really remember what was wrong with the rule last year, but as far as i can remember none of those calls were as bad as the 2 shockers from the last 2 weeks

Not sure how Inu is still on the field after that.

Hodges in Origin 3 and then a try in a Bulldogs/Tigers game is what lead to the huge out-cry and whinge over obstructions.

Then of course when the referee's change it the people that wanted the change complain about it.

Exact same thing happened with Golden point.

Inu's gonna have a few weekends spare to work on his memoirs...

Did Barba just use his boot to prevent the try?

EDIT: Nah, just lost his balance.
