Roosters are kind of a strange side when you think about. Minichello is past it and has feet for hands. Which is better than SKD who has feet for brains. Not to mention Pearce isn't a great halfback and Maloney whilst a decent five-eight isn't in the top tier. The Roosters were also the most penalised side in the competition last year and forced the fewest drop outs. So with an ordinary #1 and a solid but not amazing halves combination, I have to ask what makes this team the benchmark of the past 2 years?
It's a far cry from the great spines that the Storm and Manly have used to build premierships in recent years.
Not as big a call as it first appears on paper, Sue is a quality young player (course he FTs after I dump him) and Taupau has always had potential. Only player who I think is ordinary is Seumanufagai.
But I'd take the Penrith bench of Segeyaro, Latimore, Peachey & Grant over it, easily.
Heck, the Warriors, Dogs, Storm, Cowboys & Raiders all have fair cases for that honour this weekend.
I'm going to go out on the limb and say Tigers were held back by Marshall..
Vossy is such a good caller too
