Round 4 Discussion

Vatuvei got away with it there, should've been a goal line kick.

Tomkins lolz there in the Simona no try...

Re: Best Bench in the NRL 2014

Not as big a call as it first appears on paper, Sue is a quality young player (course he FTs after I dump him) and Taupau has always had potential. Only player who I think is ordinary is Seumanufagai.

But I'd take the Penrith bench of Segeyaro, Latimore, Peachey & Grant over it, easily.

Heck, the Warriors, Dogs, Storm, Cowboys & Raiders all have fair cases for that honour this weekend.

Roosters are kind of a strange side when you think about. Minichello is past it and has feet for hands. Which is better than SKD who has feet for brains. Not to mention Pearce isn't a great halfback and Maloney whilst a decent five-eight isn't in the top tier. The Roosters were also the most penalised side in the competition last year and forced the fewest drop outs. So with an ordinary #1 and a solid but not amazing halves combination, I have to ask what makes this team the benchmark of the past 2 years?

It's a far cry from the great spines that the Storm and Manly have used to build premierships in recent years.

Their forward pack just really dominated last year, and SBW is a better ball player than most FG halves.

Especially latimore, that guys a star

Latimore > Peachey.

I know what I'm doing this week...

Tedesco > Tomkins

Double Tomkins lolz.

12-0 Tigers, after a converted try to Tedesco...

Ropati out with broken jaw... that guy is made of glass, although upon review of that tackle, he got a double knee to the face. Hurrell in...

Warriors dominating procedings atm, but Tigers holding their own so far... Great effort by Nofoaluma on Vatuvei.

Re: Reported Post by Porthoz

Double for the Fish... Tigers 12-8, ktc

I'm going to go out on the limb and say Tigers were held back by Marshall..

I dunno if I completely agree with that...Marshall was pretty much being forced to play outside of his comfort zone in the latter stages of his career. He's always been a great runner first, ball player second. Maybe it's because his running game was getting worse, or maybe it was intentional. Similar thing has been happening with Todd Carney lately, but Carney was always a great ball player too.

They do seem to be on the rise though, Brooks looks like a future superstar, Tedesco is easily better than Moltzen. I reckon Anasta is worse than Marshall has ever been even at his lowest though.
