Round 4 Discussion

Always good seeing the Storm lose.

@broncospwn have a listen the moment they bring up the broncos game, I was the only one applauding and yelled BroncosHQ !!

Absolutely awesome show, each ad break Fletch gave us some dirty jokes. Caught up with Tallis after the show and asked him these questions, to which was his replys :

What do you think of Maranta ?
G: Well he's a safe winger.
But do you think he brings anything other than safe hands ?
G: He's a safe winger. ( in a dickish way)
Okay, would you choose him over Vidot ?
G: Well, to be honest no. Vidot made the most metres for them last year, he may not be as safe as maranta but he brings more.

Do you think Vidot was right to leave ?
G: Well Bennett had already decided he wasn't in the team, and when he decides something you can't change that no matter how good you are. ( at this point I felt like asking If I struck a nerve there)

Then he went and said when Boyd comes back he will expect to see Maranta out of the team with Copley,Kahu and Reed in the starting side.

Awesome show though, watched the cowboys game in this little theatre with about 25 Crust pizzas and cokes.

Edit: After watching the replay, that prick Johns talke over me just as I yelled it. You can however hear my lone clapping whilst he mentions the game.

Haha it was pretty funny hearing one guy clap and yell but who gives a shit. I never knew how much contempt Tallis really has for Bennett though

Speak to anyone who's been around him and they'll tell you he's been like that for well over a decade.

And his dislike of Bennett doesn't even compare to his dislike of Smith.

I think there's been some form of miscommunication somewhere. Gordie touched on it in Bennett's Broncos - basically said Wayne wanted no part of him after he retired. It really upset Gordie because he wanted to retire after his neck injury but Bennett pleaded for him to stay on but when he was of no use to him anymore, nothing.

Anyways, glad the Cowboys won. Not a quality game of football, but certainly entertaining and I must admit it made me really happy to see JT make the difference.

I've been critical of his play so far this season, but unlike some of his team mates, I don't believe it's through a lack of effort and I could see how much he wanted it.

Moments like that are what the game is all about. It's why I tune in and it could be the best finish of any game I've seen all season.

Melbourne reminded me of our second half. Not necessarily bad, just under the pump and when they did get some relief they didn't capitilise on it. I don't think they'll be too disappointed but they'll want to nip this run of close losses in the bud.
