Amongst all the 2 point decisions, Baker being shit, Hunt being as effective as a wet fart….can we stop and give it up for -
BENJAMIN TE KURA!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
What a debut young man! Well done 👍🏻
onya Hank. A real positive. **** i nearly jizzed in my pants when he bowled over for a try. Imagine being Fletcher Baker, a 50 gamer and years older watching a 19 year old come into the side and play like it was his 100th game.

I still can't let go of the short drop outs we do. They cost us a GF and now a game against the Storm scum. Short drop outs are for when you are down on points with the clock winding down not when your leading ffs.
We clearly don't practice the short drop outs... it should be fucking routine where the ball is going, who is the one jumping and who are the ones he's going to drop it back to, if he doesn't take the catch himself.

We've got Cobbo at left centre now... he should always be going for it, but Ez, Sailor/Walsh, etc. should all be scrambling for it... they stand around ball watching.

Cows kick to Feldt and he knocks it back where people are scrambling everywhere... we've got no fucking idea when the short kick goes up even though Reyno is putting them on a dime.

I don't think we can be playing Te Kura week in week out. Way too early. Put him in the rotation, sure, but I think he and Willison both would benefit from spells in Cup still.

It was the white thing in amongst all the other white things. Clear as.

Your jersey is closer to him than you, maybe ASICS will redirect it there for you?

They are going to struggle to play the year out at their age. Bench impact is ideal for them right now, and its ideal for us tbh as well.

I'm probably missing something obvious, but i cant think of Cobbo taking many high balls apart from at center. Could just be having a blank though, i'm just struggling to recall him leaping!

Kobe should be the bloke we replace Patty with.
Then we have no 2nd row cover and Patty is moving if anyone from 1-5, 11 or 12 are off the field.

Kobe needs to learn how to play second row otherwise he could be competing with Oates and Hunt for the 17 jersey, as X and BTK come screaming through to take up the two middle spots.

At times we throw Haas into lock and he becomes the ball player... he's not great at it, but neither is Kobe... Patty is our best ball playing middle and then probably Haas.

Kobe needs to add some utility value to his game

On the kicks either last year or in 2022 he was coming through competing on bombs from Reynolds... sooo many times he gets blocked out of them, but still tries to compete on them... he can definitely get up there and take contested catches on kick chases... we don't utilise it enough.

Have a nothing kick at the 45-50m line... put it up to the left and see if Cobbo can take a contested catch over the fullback... we should be using it the same way Manly use it with Turbo.

It may still he R5 in which Patty had played 80min in the middle again. He’s getting burned out every game playing longer minutes & something bugs if this continues and with Origin, it would come back to bite us in the back end of the season if no changes are made to his workload.

Hope Kev is paying attention to it & manage Patty’s workload. Patty & Payne cannot and must NOT be burned out every game. Their workload must be managed.

In Haas’s absence, other middle's must step up but sadly they're not. Corey, Baker & Kobe all are rocks and diamonds (mostly rocks).

Bakers inability to stop Wishart from scoring is dead-set lethargic and not 1st grade effort. Perhaps, we should never ever recruit Rotters rejects.

One positive to take away from all these matches without Haas, Walsh, Piakura and Reynolds etc. is that this team doesn't just crumble and concede that they'll lose the match. They are still fighting to the end, and that is a testament to Kevvie and the attitude that he has instilled in the group.

At the moment, with about a quarter of our starting team out, we are getting a little bit outclassed, but we are not getting blown off the park. I am optimistic that with some good luck, our team will be back to full strength, and we'll start racking up some wins. I can see us building some real momentum and going on a bit of a run real soon.

Riki and Piakura ( if he can stay on the field ) are 80 min players. I do agree its a bit of an issue. Oatesy is back row cover if we leave him on the bench. Our issue is we can cover it if we dont carry a hooker, but i dont think we have an 80 min hooker. I dont think Kobe has it in him to play on an edge tbh.

I think people are giving Riki a bit of free pass in the Wishart try. He wasnt exactly great in it either.

Anyone else notice in the first half Reynolds and Mam were swapping sides in attack at different stages?
Yep, Ezra nearly played a perfect game, a few defensive misses and a really dumb 5th tackle option running the ball from our 40 meter line.

Other than that he was outstanding!

Impossible for Riki to do anything more than wrap the ball up, it was his job. Baker should have stopped wishart where he stood. Extremely poor from a middle forward. Inexcusable

He needs gets his body in the way. Simple defending. I dont think he was as culpable as Baker, but he needed to hit him with more physicality. Too many excuses for basic defensive errors.
