One of the biggest disapointments as a Broncos fan is never seeing Big Dave live up to his immense talent. There wouldnt have been a forward who could come close to him if he did.
Crazy to have such a big man with such impressive skills. He wasn't just a hitemup battering ram. He had footy smarts to go with his athleticism.

To me he was more of a five-eighth at heart who was stuck in a props body. It was like he just severely outgrew the position he wanted to play as a kid.
Yep, well put! To be frank you could put him in any position and he would probably do alright lol.

We are good enough and have enough points in us to win the next handful of games without Reyno and the other key outs.

Phins - Home
Raiders - Home
Tigers - Away
These are basically must win games now. This horror start and injury crisis has put us under a lot of pressure now.

Fingers crossed we don't have any lapses and/or any of these teams decide to play like superstars against us.

Just caught the presser, glad that Kev was disappointed. We came to Melbourne to win, regardless of the outs and losing Reyno, its the right attitude.

Scoring 32 away in Melb and still losing isn't good enough.

Also loved that he brought up the ruck speed. Didn't ref moan, just said all night they were far quicker than us and that they were far better at the wrestle. Its good that shit is finally publicly acknowledged and something we as a team, need to be better at.

We really needed to win another game by now. We are going to get decimated at Origin again this year. I reckon we will scrape into the top 8 but only just

Riki and Piakura ( if he can stay on the field ) are 80 min players. I do agree its a bit of an issue. Oatesy is back row cover if we leave him on the bench. Our issue is we can cover it if we dont carry a hooker, but i dont think we have an 80 min hooker. I dont think Kobe has it in him to play on an edge tbh.
Yeah so in the situation before where Willison and Te Kura are coming through and looking very promising, where does Kobe fit?

14. Smoothy / Mozer (need a back up hooker)
15. Willison
16. Te Kura
17. Forward utility (Oates, Hunt, Kobe, etc.) - Kobe potentially last here, because what positions is he covering??

If Kobe wants to guarantee his spot on the bench he needs to expand his game... he's a mobile small forward that cuts blokes in half, but he hasn't showed ball playing, an ability to play hooker or an ability to play in the second row or outside backs.

He's basically Jazz or Erin Clarke... who are currently struggling to make the 17 each week... compared to Dylan Walker (ball plays and covers outside backs), Peachey, Connor Watson, Dylan Lucas, etc. You want to be that utility forward on the bench you need to be covering another position for injuries whilst also having a purpose when there are no injuries.

At the moment he's got a purpose when there's no injuries, but he's not exactly helping when an injury does occur... so he needs to be looking over his shoulder because X and BTK are coming.

Te Kura is very much a crash play specialist.
And that's a bad thing why??

Willison looks likely a lot of the time as well... it's a great option to have within 5m of the line.

Haas should be scoring double digits every year with his size and mobility

Mixture of disappointment at losing the game, but pride in the overall effort.

Frustrated at continuous short drop outs putting us straight back under pressure.

Delighted with Tank, my nickname for BTK, awesome debut.

As I feared pre game, Klein and the bunker a main subject of debate. Several angled tv shots and not one showing Coates grounded that ball, so, what, guessing he did is acceptable now?

An up-down start to the season in results, but performances are getting there. We desperately need a bit of luck regarding injuries. Something we didn’t have to worry about last year…. Could be the difference for us this year, not in a good way.
