PRE-GAME [Round 5, 2025] Broncos vs Tigers

black and white cat GIF
the teasing has just begun in my household 😂😂😂
Just a quick reminder that we are trying to keep all the footy talk seperate from kitty cat memes and chat. It just helps to keep the flow of the more serious footy convos up and running. Members who want to keep updated on beautiful Rosie know to head over to her specific threads ☺️

I am being serious especially with this round

I am being serious especially with this round

So therefore, it is especially important to follow the staff direction this week. We know it is very tempting for you to get excited for all things cat in this round, so please adhere to the direction you've been given. We don't want to clog up a number of threads with cat hair. See what I did there?

Abdo has clarified it.:

Some high tackles will simply be penalised, but "direct forceful contact to the head with no mitigation" will see players sent to the bin.

"I think it's important to acknowledge that the referees do a great job and get 98 per cent of the calls right. Then there are some calls that are going to be 50/50 and debated ... and then there are calls that are just wrong, and are errors."
"Over the weekend, we identified (incidents of) direct forceful contact to the head with no mitigation, and that's a clear sin bin. You'll see high tackles that might be penalised, or there might be some mitigation. But the referees know what the decision trees look like. Direct, forceful contact – so when we saw shoulders directly into the head, no mitigation, the player wasn't falling ... that's a clear sin bin, and we saw about four of those occasions this round, and it was unfortunate."
Wonder where he got "98% of the calls right" figure from. I'm sure leaning towards it being plucked from his chocolate speedway. He single-handedly shot any credibility he hoped to have in the foot right then when he came out with that crappola!

Even when Hollywood Harrigan was running around they were no where near 98% correct in their calls.

NRL is fast approaching soccer status in terms of fantasy administrators.

Abdo has been busted several times for making up statistics, take nothing he says seriously. He is a puppet for Vlandys.

I wonder if Madge will have something to prove against the club who sacked him. Hopefully. Will be good ro see how the team plays pumped up to dish out some revenge for him.

Not sure how many guys are still there from his time but he'd have some inside knowledge of some of the players you'd think.

98% correct calls? Any credibility this dipshit had left is now firmly gone.
The officiating this year has been putrid.
**** this nonsense.

I'm just worried if they stamp out ALL the errors they won't be able to rig EVERY game for us.

1000% there is going to be a send off this weekend. Magic Round crackdown all over again from a few years ago.
