PRE-GAME [Round 5, 2025] Broncos vs Tigers

Tigers team looks largely the same with only Luai missing... and Fainu coming into 7.

I'd imagine Api will spend time in the halves, because that starting pair is under 20... and if they also had those two + Da Silva and Bula... you're looking at a very very young spine

It will be interesting to see how they do end up lining up considering Doueihi injured a hammy and Fainu had some sort of knee complaint, but both have been named to start.

Hunt probably would have been my 3rd choice to take the available bench position.

I would have gone with either Marty or Te Kura ... Marty if you want to add some more aggression and impact to the bench ... Te Kura to give him some NRL reps.

But Madge's decisions have been proven spot on so far, so I'm not going to argue the call

That would be risky though, you’d be asking Piaks and Goneski to play 80 unless you shift Patty out wide at some point. This is where Kobe’s limitations really come to the fore but even so, I wonder if he will actually play, he looked very sore after last week.

I think you'd only go that way if Willison is capable of filling in at backrow should Gos or Piaks need a break.

But I would worry about Willison defending out there... he got caught out in the all stars game.

There's also the worry for the worst case scenario where we lose a backrower in the opening minutes.... can anyone outside of Hunt play near 80mins in the backrow if needed... that also includes if we lost an outside back, because Gos or Piaks are shifting out 1.

I think Hunt is the logical choice to come in

I don't like Piakura starting but we don't really have a choice, Haven't seen how J Hunt has played since Trials where I thought he was really good though.

If Tigers go hard and Target Piakuras's side early in the game we might be in trouble(It is Luai's side too), but lets see if he has improved in starting defence.

We should be good enough regardless but we have been pretty slow in the start of games.

May be where luais plays but he won’t be doing shit on Saturday night from the sidelines. He is suspended bud

Hunt has been good in defence but non-existent in attack in Cup.

His seven hit ups but 72 tackles in two games make it really hard to judge his form.

Probably a bit reflective of Wynnum- cancelled game, beat Bears, flogged by Redcliffe have a bye.

Attack is hard in those conditions.
