That was probably my favourite win of the season for us so far.
For years I've been in awe of teams like the Panthers and Storm who turn up and perform regardless of what injuries, missing stars or situation they've been dealt. The Brisbane of 2 years ago probably throws the towel in last night and capitulates. But credit to the boys, despite a lacklustre first half they came out and just played simple yet effective footy.
Credit to Carigan he seems to have alot more power in his runs at the moment, there is no hop or step before the line its just charge forward and get a quick play the ball. Also big thumbs up to Hunt for stepping up and owning the team.
These are the type of games that can really make your season, when everything appears to be falling apart around you and you just find a way to win.

I asked about this in the live thread. Mo got straight up and checked that Ezra was ok, sort of giving himself up. I was surprised nothing more came of this.

CONEHEAD was up there with my favourite footballers of all time, maybe even my favourite of all time. Apart from busting the line with an arm free and getting away offloads, it was his passion (bad temper). This made great drama, but it also made him an appalling captain in every way other than "c'mon you *****, we've got these *****." Apart from being short tempered and short sighted he was suprisingly judgemental and puritanical. He would say the kind of shit you hear from fans.
That also extended to being a dickhead to referees, most famously when he called Bill Harrigan a cheat. It's pretty usual for boorish fans to carry on with this yobbo shit, but players are generally a bit more worldly about the officials. Not CONEHEAD.
So if you want to judge whether he was a dickhead, use his mouthing off about referees as a yardstick. At least he's embarressed about it now.

It's never deliberate, they are always trying to bring the guy down. I doubt they ever make a decision "right, I got him at the hips, now let me sort out his achilles".

My sister worked with someone who was dating him. I don't think it was his wife, this was years ago. She and my brother in law met him at a staff BBQ. Said he was a bit of a dickhead

I certainly think there's been instances where duty of care isn't considered at all by the defenders.
I do think some grub it up intentionally, and sure they are still trying to stop the player, but they know what the result will be when they sit their entire weight deliberately on someones knees/calves/ankles, and they do it anyway

Did anyone listen to the dribbler on triple m today? I wouldn't, couldn't and everyone shouldn't give them the ears or views but id live to have a laugh. Im certain the game wasnt even talked about lol. On another similar note, ricky isnt under pressure? Strange....
