I don't think any fan base is generally pleased with current Interpretation and application of rules, but that's the state of play.
Scramble was good, but our first contact was poor and they were slipping offloads all night. Let them get too many shots in good field position and they made them count.

How does every single team we play become so well disciplined and have near perfect completions? The cowboys tonight had unbelievable play the ball speed. It would be very difficult to defend repeatedly

I’m not sure the Penrith system would even hold up with this many outs.
Let’s say they start a game without Edwards, Cleary, Kenny, Cogger and Jenkins. Then in game, they lose whoever they back up 9 is and their bench utility. They also have Leota injured and Talagi as well. They are forced to play McLean on the wing and Tago at fullback. Then they get Yeo binned for 10 minutes.
I think even they are struggling under such conditions to defend well.

Alright so just got home, get a bit of a rant in and then try to sleep but that ain't going to happen...
Opp fans who only start chirping at FT, really piss me off. Violence is never an answer, and I'm not that sort of guy, but for people who haven't said a peep all game to really try serve it up post game, I just think its such pathetic behaviour. Im talking cows fans getting in the faces of people as we walk up the stairs doing the Broncos try celebration type stuff.
On the game, thought Duffy had some really nice touches, fit in well. Forwards got rolled, not helped by being gassed while Pat was off. Left edge got obliterated. At this point, I do not want to see Shiba in the team next week, injury crisis or not. Feel for Mozer too, the crowd went up as one when he came on. Can't catch a break.
Liked what Madge said in presser about the calls. Clearly annoyed, but said enough without saying more. The stuff on the HIAs sounded farcical too.
My only other point on Klein, is that at the game you could tell the cows play the ball was quicker and im sure you could on TV too. When one team is quite clearly getting a quicker play the ball, you can't just ignore the shit like on Carrigan where his ankle was held, and Mariner on that break, and I think there was a clear one on Haas too.
If we are so undisciplined that we give them away, go for your life, but when clear as day ones aren't then also given to you, thats what drives me crazy.
Its just frustrating because one of these teams gave away double the ruck infringement set restarts. Guess which one?

I wonder why we had to give headgear Riki a break towards the last 8-10 minutes? Had he been there, I reckon Luki wouldn’t have got the opportunity to score their last try. There was no sliding defense, line speed, intensity or wrapping the footy at all throughout the game. Cowgirls were allowed free meters all night.
Our back row stocks severely lacking depth where our middles have to cover them due to which they(Xman/Patty/Talty/Payne & etc.) are getting burned out and leaving large gaps for some silly tries to be scored by the opponents.
Contrary to our defense, Duffy single handedly covered our loss of Adam, Bhunt & to majority of Walsh’s absence with his halfback plays. He managed the game very well & he belongs in 1st grade. It may sound harsh but I would go to the extent to say that Adam would want to think what’s best for the team given his fragile body. But it’s the total opposite with Ezra. I wonder why he has ended up as a total rocks and diamonds player this year. Mostly rocks this year and rarely diamonds. It MUST change. PERIOD!
Shiba is definitely on borrowed time. If not for Anderson’s injury, Shiba do not deserve to be in the team lists at all. He’s the total opposite to the player he was to last year.

He said Paix ran off the field, passed his HIA and was ready to return to but couldn't because of the Cat 1
While Mozer was a cat 2 despite being knocked senseless with a possible broken jaw.
It does sound like the club will attempt to get Paix cleared to play next week

Klein was pathetic tonight but two things had me ready to jump the fence.
I was listening to him with Sportears - firstly, he was into Duffy every kick about hurrying up with his goal kick. He’s setting up and trying to concentrate and Kleins yelling at him, “Hurry up, that’s nearly a minute twenty” “We need to be quicker” etc. I’ve never heard a ref into a kicker that bad before.
The worst though was when the bunker was checking the Broncos no try. I had a gut feeling they were going to let it go but Klein says, “Don’t forget, you took one off them.”

Such a frustrating game, and I mean the NRL over all.
I honestly think Patty was sent for 10 on how bad it appeared, I think it was just a hell of shot and he sits down for that? In the second half it escapes me who it was but the cowboys prop very similar tackle on Talty i think and put a shot on, penalty is all we got.
The disruption call on Shiba is just a guy in a bunker trying to get too technical on it, if you think about it, every single player that goes up for a kick if you dont win the ball you are a disruptor and why shouldn't you be allowed that in the game?
Ezra and Shiba are both awful, Ezra does maybe 2 or 3 positive plays a game and commentators talk about him like he is gods gift, for the ammont of time he has been in the NRL he is poor.
Over all gutted to drop that one after looking so gassed in the first half it could have easily got away on them but they dug deep, think they just ran out of legs at the end.
