POST GAME [Round 6, 2026] - Broncos vs Cowboys

Don’t know if it was mentioned in the live thread but what the hell is the go with our defensive line not moving forward and just letting the Cows runners come to them?
Just like the bad old days.

Probably the 66% possession against at halftime... or was it even higher than that 🤔🤔

Friendly reminder that this contact is worthy of a sin bin and 2-week suspension:

Apart from the camera angle and Piaks also being involved, can anyone tell me what the difference is?
Then you take the inverse where taumalolo thumped mozer to the shadow realm and the media calls it the hit up of the decade.

Mam absolutely puked his guts up after running on for second half. Corner right in front of us. Either sick or over exerted, but it was hectic.

Still got that knee strapped up pretty good too.
Omg I remember hearing a weird gasp from the crowd right at the second half starting. Absolutely would have been that

I've never understood that to be honest. Do we care about protecting players' heads or not?

Don't worry, the brain isn't damaged of the player doing it is holding the ball, it's basic physics.
Im sure they'll bring in a rule once a broncos player does it to someone, make an example of them, then never use it again... eg "non-touching disruptor, billy slater drop kick, huge crackdown on carrigan hip drop just before finals, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc"

If broncos challenge the high shot ruling then the NRL will be looking to reset the Cleary rule... so that one can be added to the list as well

I don't think I have seen anything more blatantly obvious that this game has some major integrity issues, than that disruption call. The game is cooked on so many levels right now. I cancelled foxtel early this year, had Kayo for round 1 and 2, but cancelled that after. I am not paying into this corruption, just can't do it. Some will say middle aged man is yelling "get off my lawn" but this shit is so obvious and has been getting worse year after year.

It's not just our club, it's actually not about us at all. The game is on a knife edge of being totally unwatchable because it is losing credibility. Everyone I talk with about the game in person says the same thing. I know the attendance and everything doesn't support fans walking away. But that could very well happen at some point. I am down to one game a week because I love my club. Eventually that could fade as the bread and circus can't keep you happy if you know the game is suspect.

Betting should be illegal full stop when a game has rules like ours.

They were off from the opening whistle.

Reminded me of Origin II 2019 when they asked Kevie when did he know when the team was in trouble.

He told them from the kick off, didn't go deep enough.

Sure enough same thing last night. That's always been the issue with Duffy, just doesn't get enough distance on his kicks.

Wasn't Arthars doing the kick offs?

The Toia decision came a day after Drinkwater was penalised for taking out Josiah Karapani which led to similar confusion regarding the disruptor.
The rule was brought into place this season to penalise kick chasers who interfere with catchers without making a genuine contest for the ball.

Apparently the one that actually cost a team a try & the game wasn’t the most jarring example… can you imagine the outcry had that call gone against the cowboys instead of us?

I stand corrected. Maybe the Broncos would be better off with Duffy kicking because that was an awful start.

Still, Duffy's general play kicking left something to be desired.

It was a shocking opening kick off... led to a quick ptb from Drinkwater and then Hess going 15m on play 2 on the other side of the field for another quick ptb... set the tone for how weak the defensive line was going to be

It's Sydney media... they're not going to report that something went against the broncos.

Drinkwater should be allowed to jump into catchers with his back turned...

Question: How on earth did Neame not even get charged for this?

I just think we are really banged up. We have so many out that I think there are a few others who are borderline being forced to play because we are already down so many that they are struggling to even play at the moment. This coupled with fill in players left, right and centre plus getting smashed by the ref week in, week out which the stats prove is true is taking its toll. I think we’re doing really well all things considered.
