Looking back at the first half, the Broncos were clearly frustrated by the Sharks defence. They did enough to score on several occassions, but Cronulla pulled off some magnificent defence on their goal line. The Broncos just couldn't find their footing with the ball, a lot of passes went to ground and it seemed like they were happy to probe around and leave it to their kicking game. Ultimately Cronulla gifted them enough opportunities that Priddis was able to get a nice play the ball and put Tallis over.
Cronulla on the other hand really went after that right hand-side defence of the Broncos and it paid dividends. Sailor, Berrigan, Ikin didn't gel at all defensively and 3/4 tries directly came from that side of the field.
In the second half, they moved Carroll out into the centres to help plug the hole there and the likes of Thorn, Tuqiri and Lockyer really stepped up. The game also happened to flow set for set which suited the Broncos as they played their best footy off of kick returns. It allowed them to get more comfortable and while it was still frantic at times, they were able to generate more momentum.
