He’s going to be devastated. It’s really hard to come back with confidence after so much bad luck. Poor kid.
Should just find himself another club and get a fresh start and fresh new look

I can't remember a time where the prevailing story in this forum hasn't been that the game is corrupt and that for some reason the NRL wants the Broncos to lose.

Mind you it's probably the same in every other fan forum.
Lopsided penalty and 6 again counts week after week will do that.

Round 1 - 12-5 Panthers' way (no one on report either way)
Round 2 - 12-7 Eel's way (we had 1 report, they had 0)
Round 3 - 12-10 Storm's way (we had 2 reports, they had 0)
Round 4 - 12-7 Dolphins' way (they had 1 report we had 0)
Round 5 - 16-7! Titans' way (they had 2 reports, we had 0)
Round 6 - 8-7 Cowboys' way (one sinbin to the Broncs, they had 0)

Basically, we can't win a penalty count, it doesn't matter whom we are up against. #penaltybroncos is the biggest fallacy around.

Nah haven't you read and seen comments from the neutrals ... refs always carry us to wins

Pat's is worth the challenge.

I can kind of argue both ways, in that losing him for Chooks also, on top of Tigers and Dogs would be terrible, but I lean more towards him very much being needed in the short term while we have so many outs.

So in that regard I'd fight it based on the others successfully downgraded already this season.

Yeah I think that's where it lands for me as well... by that rorters game Reyno should hopefully be healthy (or he'll have already picked up another injury) and Walsh would be 50/50.

Haas is also potentially struggling, so I'm not sure he can carry the pack for 2 weeks of 80mins games, which would be required if Patty is out.

He would lose. The MRC who graded it are not armchair experts.

I would say they are because there is no difference between Patty's tackle and the tackles of Cleary and Burns which ultimately ended up being a Grade 1.

So how on earth did the NRL let us win the comp last year. Someone must have gotten fired for that blunder.
Let's not be silly - we got markedly better calls in 25 than we did in 24.

Whether that's by coincidence or design, couldn't say....

After half the season, we had the worst for/against penalty+6A count by a long, long way. This makes no comment on whether they're deserved or not, or how many could/should have been called but were not, of course. Just stone cold stats.

My claim is that this place has always had a vocal contingent that claims the NRL is conspiring against us and uses refereeing as a tool to do so. This includes last year, where the NRL had ample opportunity to **** us if they wanted to, but didn't take the opportunity.

I don't think it makes any sense at all, and would argue that there is the usual incompetence and square ups that all teams to varying degrees experience. Plus the fair calls that we cop but don't want to because we're fans and we're biased.
