Great point, Pete. With all the speculation about our own lineup it's easy to forget we're up against a team coached by the best in the business. Any rookie we blood is in for tough night. I reckon we give Hoffman another week to impress. The Knights' defense probably isn't as good as the Titans was - he might get some more opportunities.

I'd be more than happy to let him impress the **** out of me from the wing.

I don't get it, we all know there are going to be no changes and them we act gobsmacked when it happens.

Funny isn't it. My hope is that people are just being sarcastic.

uate is out, for what its worth. doesnt really affect our chances imo

Insult to Hodor IMO

I would like to see some more ball movement and attacking game plans. I was extremely disappointed last Friday with the attack as we weren't working their defence and testing them out and were just inviting them to tackle us.

Has anyone read James Surowiecki's book Wisdom Of Crowds? The idea is that the collective opinion of a large group of people is more likely to be correct then that of an individual. Should i send griff a copy of the book? Cause surely we cant all be wrong?

Yeah, it was just for last Friday.

Did anyone else notice in the game against the Titans that our pressure on their kicks was pretty much non-existent?! Very rarely did I see anyone moving up on the kicker, everyone was just staying back waiting for Sezer to kick. No wonder he had such a good kicking game, he had all the time in the world. If the boys aren't doing the little things like pressuring kicks, to me that's a reflection of attitude and will to win which is worrying.

Hope to see a bit more effort in that department versus the Knights, Mullen is lethal putting boot to ball.

It's amazing isn't it

Bet the house on the Knights, Mullen and Roberts are going to shred us.

Well, I'm going to be optimistic.

...

Well that didn't last long

No, seriously folks, our defensive line will move up as one and hit them as soon as they get the ball; Gillett and Parker will smash Mason (legally of course); Our forwards will pass the ball like 5/8ths, Hoffman will put Glenn through gaping holes he sets up with his lightning fast footwork, throw cut out passes to his winger and chip and chase and score 3 tries; Barba will head the ball out of the in goal, dribble it upfield like Kemp, scoop it up with his 2 fingertips and race 80 metres on one leg easily outrunning McManus.

Edit: And it's already been mentioned.

He might not be the captain, but McCullough needs to stand up to Hodges and tell him he can run the ball only when he says it's ok. Don't get me wrong, I think Hodges is great at it and it is a strength of his game, but it frustrates me when he does it constantly on the 3rd tackle. McCullough started the season so strong, especially the Dragons game. He doesn't need anything upsetting his momentum.

Hodges making 10 metres out of dummy half once every couple of sets is fine by me, I don't think McCullough minds that much.. not as much as someone coming on and playing dummy half for 20 minutes.

the problem with hodges is no one else in the team ever seems to know what he's doing and its either a brilliant solo effort from him or the play just falls apart horribly. but thats possibly born out of his own frustration as well.

they definitely need to work harder on teamwork/plays which help give hodges room down the right hand side because he's impossible to tackle 1 on 1
