Round 7 - Tigers vs Broncos - Post Match Discussion

Courier Mail reporting that Griffin tried to shake Sheens hand after the game and Sheens kept walking. It also said that Sheens wouldnt of known who Griffin is. Bull Shit. Just a bad sport IMO. Must of gone to to same school of sportsmanship as Robbie Farah.

Something that really struck me was Bryce Gibbs' sneaky little habit of holding the tacklers down to milk a penalty. It happened 3 times last night, and there were plenty of other times that he came close to getting another whistle. What a turd.

Did you see the elbow the cat landed on Mcguires face??

gibbs is a grub. the amount of times hes the 3rd man in a launches a shoulder charge when the ball carrier is pratcially held is a joke. i think hel cause a pretty bad injury soon enough and then theyl get tougher with this practice

Someone said somewhere (possibly in the match thread) that Yow Yeh is becoming quite Hodges-like. Whoever said that was not wrong!

I was at the game and was so sure that the 40-odd meter pinball style run on the opposite side of the ground was Hodges. I didn't realise it was Yow Yeh until I watched the replay at home. I've loved that guy since his first game and I'm stoked to see some consistency. He's something special, that's for sure.

You sit on the opposite side of the stadium to the SBBS and no one says a thing, I sit up the back of their bay and cop it from all angles! :P

Except McGuire won't run away to union after getting one icon_thumbs_u

Also, Am i the only one who can't stand Lui? Just something about him last night made me want to throw the missus at the TV.

No one says a thing ANYMORE. They've long given up on me. I think they figure you're so close that you're an easier target [icon_shru [icon_lol1.

So good to see Yow Yeh playing outside of Hodges again as well. Two years ago they were prowling that right side together and its awesome to see again. Wouldn't swap our right centre-wing combo for anyone.
And defensively YY has gotten even better. He is always worth a couple of big hits either when the opposition are coming off their own line or a 2nd rower is running wide icon_thumbs_u

Scoreline flattered the Tigers. The referees let them back in the game against the run of play.

Yow Yeh is epic. One of the real future superstars. I reckon Locky and Parker were our best by far.

Isn't he just!

Parker is playing the most outstanding football. On this form he should walk into SoO.

It's ironic that he's now at least twice the player he was when he made the Origin sides in 2004-05.

In this side, Macca and Hunt are showing they are the weak links. They just don't have it at this level.

Both were poor last night but that's going too far.

Disagree Coxy. Aside from the consistent depth in attack we still lack out wide, they remain our other (relative) weakness. Neither Macca nor Hunt pose any real threat to the line. They either catch n pass, throw a dummy, or do the predictable run from dummy half. There's no probing the line for holes, no vision.

It's refreshing to see the Great Man occasionally play there. You immediately sense something creative might happen.

I'm of the opinion that McCullough could be great, but at this point he needs a rocket. And Hunt is not that rocket.
Bring in Baptiste.

I'm a bit late to the party.. but (sig bias aside) I'd like to give a wrap to Kenny. Absolutely worked his ass off when he was on.

And Locky is sublime, just hope he can keep it up for the rest of the year.
