So disappointing.
This could have been her last game for us. She’s not signed beyond this year and will likely go back to 7’s.
Probably depends on if the warriors are coming into the compI hope we are pushing to retain her.

For Waaka, Mele and Broughton do we know if NZ is still home for them? Or are they settled here now?World 7s starts up again end of November ‘24 and March ‘25 is the last date announced so far with more to come
There’s also a standard women’s union World Cup next year that she may be interested in now she’s played some ‘full team’ games.
I think we’ve got a decent shot to retain her, at least for one more season - while no doubt she’d love to stay in NZ for a bit, she’s also used to travelling and has fit right in here with the girls.
Might hinge on Gayle and Mele and what they’re doing.
And for them a premiership could still go either way - either they ride into the sunset after a ‘job done’, or they stay for the chance at more success. I think they may both stay for another year, wait for the Warriors to get going, and then look to finish their careers at home

Did anyone actually see the tackle it happened in? Was there anything dodgy from the Sharks players or just standard contact? I have rewatched the game a few times and still can’t pinpoint it.
