It's not so much does Francis warrant NRL selection, it's getting to a point where we won't have a choice but to play him in the NRL side.

SOS time for Koellner to come back?

Clearly Madge doesn't rate Semu - he couldn't even get on the paddock with half our forwards on the way to hospital.
I don't think that's accurate... Semu had 20-25 family travel to Sydney for the tigers game... so he was absolutely playing on the weekend.

It would've been the Arthars injury that stopped him from debuting... probably also the Staggs injury, because that happened in early in the first half, so Madge had to keep Perham up his sleeve.

Semu was also named on the extended bench against Dolphins when Haas didn't play... he didn't get a chance that night because Anderson got injured and Shiba came on instead.

Nio ended up debuting in the titans game, but didn't have family there because it wasn't expected that he would be playing.

Crazy how many times the 6 man bench has saved us already this year... we've needed a back from the bench 4 games in a row (Anderson injury, Reece injury, double HIA's at hooker and then Jesse last week).. we won 3 of those games, but without the 6 man bench we potentially lose all of them trying to shuffle players out of position.

Much happier to have Gos in the 13 rather than on an edge.

He didn't play because of the Arthars and Staggs injury.

This is his jersey for the game, notice the text on the front chest. You're not handing someone their debut if you don't rate them. It was just an unfortunate set of circumstances that led to him being held back.

Sounds what Jensen has is pretty serious. I’ve heard some people never really get back to 100% from it. Poor guy.

He was supposed to play on Saturday, Semu's family was all there for his debut, and he was going to play.
Hope his family aren't to upset they went down and didn't get to see the debut

The outs list is crazy

Walsh, Hunt, Haas, Staggs, Carrigan, Jensen, Walters, Anderson, Mozer, J Hunt

I’m sure I’m just repeating someone else’s team list but it must look something like:

1. Perham
2. Karapani
3. Shibasaki
4. Mariner
5. Verhoeven
6. Mam
7. Reynolds
8. Talty
9. Paix
10. Gosiewski
11. Piakura
12. Riki
13. Willison

14. Rogers
15. Semu
16. Francis
17. Bukowski
18. Duffy
19…. Uh Cam Smith?

Va’A this year has me confident we have a decent player on our hands. Only 21, and has been far and away our form player in cup both in performance and consistency (barring Duffy). Another tick for Burt in getting the best out of his/our players.

He was going to debut last week. Don’t think it says anything about him that they went with the experience of Gosiewski, and I think that decision was completely justified with the work that Gos got through. I don’t have my concerns with Gos starting at 13 after last week (albeit not ideal) and I certainly don’t think Semu not getting a game last week was a case of not being trusted or poorly rated. Jaidyen Hunt has never put a foot wrong in a Broncos jersey imo and he got picked over him still.

Josh Rogers has scored more NRL points than Total number of games that bench has played.. minus Smith of course.
17 games all up
