Round 8 Discussion

Dang.

also the tries I saw piakura score the other week seemed to be the other side...unless it’s the old flip camera trick?

I always thought he was on the left and then I saw that.
He played right side in ISC last week... may have been a ploy to specifically get him on Khunt and Milf haha

The videos of his junior games has him almost exclusively on the left.

Given how hard it is to find a left side player (wing, center or second rower) I'd imagine you'd stick him on the left, if he's comfortable there already.

Wow... and they were talking about Munster taking the goal kicking over the preseason

Yeah that was a braindead decision. At least wait until the season is over before you turf your half decent coach for a complete rookie.
Couldn’t believe it to be honest. seems a lively bloke, keeps fit and seems sharp. Considering the squad he had and the shapes he had them running he seemed a good coach.

I'm starting to think penalizing tackling the catcher in the air should be at the discretion of the referee. Some of these penalties we see for the act are just so soft.

Alolai untying Koroiasu's shoe in the scrum was amusing.

Interesting to watch how often players throw their arms up & appeal to the referee when unusual, unstructured events occur within matches nowadays.. saw it again there with Cleary protesting to the referee on that DCE try where the ball bounced back off the goal post pad.. also saw it last night with Anthony Don when Oates grabbed the intercept.. imo players are so accustomed to the predictable patterns that NRL games are played in now that when something out of the ordinary happens they immediately default to there being a problem with it that the referee should investigate
