POST GAME Round 8 - Rabbitohs vs Broncos

Who knows how the game turns out if they don't score two arsey tries and an intercept in the first half, but they did, so we can only judge the team on how they responded, which wasn't great.

Time to avoid all media until next week, because the fallout from this one is gonna be painful.
 
How many times have we let in tries with Boyd doing nothing? I guess you can always say "Oh, there was another player doing something stupid too", but surely at some point it stops being a coincidence? His passiveness has let in so many.

Oates, Jesus Christ, what's with his hands? You can pretty much put money on him dropping the ball every game and pay off your mortgage.

Isaako too, just not doing anything.

Roberts, he's definitely got something on his mind. He doesn't look like trying at all. He's probably leaving.

Bird IS trying, but is he worth 700-800K on that left centre? God no IMO.

TPJ seems as dumb as Oates. Ofa is ordinary, but I guess he only makes 1 mistake or gives away 1 penalty a game, not as bad as the others.


Dearden looked promising in the 2nd half. I think he has to take control of the team, it's the perfect opportunity. Milf is no organiser, despite his putting on a show last week. He's only 18, but we NEED a real half to stand up and take charge.
 
Boyd, McC, Roberts need to be told to hit the bricks. Isaako and Oates need a big rocket about their errors which are getting beyond a joke. Dearden and Staggs both into the starting side permanently.
 
Time for the big boy pants Seibold. Right step with the Dearden call but time to go further and let Roberts leave, Boyd to centre and someone else at the back
 
Boyd's post game interview sums it up. Smiling, joking around, the usual fluff about being better next week.

No obvious disappointment or feeling about it, just same old. Pathetic. Not a leaders asshole and never will be.
 
Dearden needs to be our dominant play maker. Tell Milford to focus on running and playing awhat is infront of him at second receiver and let Dearden run the team.

To me, we look like an unhappy team, we look uninterested and I think there is deeper problems within the squad/coaching staff.
Far too many mistakes, some acceptable due to age of some of the lads, but the majority of errors are coming from our older blokes: Macca, Oates, Darius, Bird, Isaako - simply not acceptable.
Roberts has to have already signed with wayne.
Get staggs in ASAP.
The only shining light has been how well Dearden played tonight. The kid has a massive future.
Isaako, Boyd, McCullough all need significant time in Q cup.
No doubt it’ll be another BS post match presser from seibold, explaining how we are improving..

I agree to a point about the team being unhappy. 3 popular players in the group going or gone, the coach they all looked up to treated shabbily ( and he was, despite his carry on ). Something had to give.

Despite me now having huge reservations about Seibolds ability as a coach, I do feel for him. He walked into a situation with Bennett leaving in the way he did that was entirely the doing of the board.
 
Boyd spends that much time on his arse whether catching a bomb or pretending to slip over when the other team makes a break they may as well start wheeling him out in a wheelchair. He would be just as effective. Dearden seems a master stroke and was so composed for an 18 year old. Wasn't afraid to put his body on the line in defence as well even if that just meant hanging on until a bigger body came in over the top.... at this stage surely something has to be done about Boyd though. Milfords picked his game up, McCullough likewise. Boyd has simply lost it though and it's plain to see.
