POST GAME [Round 9, 2024] Broncos vs Roosters

12 week best case recovery time, gives him a few games before finals... but, knowing ARey's age, likely not to be best case.
Fingers crossed, but a full year will be the season

Long video session for Walsh on Monday.
What is our plan to cover an injury to the backs because sliding Riku or Piakura out is not cutting it?
Any stats gurus able to check the win percentage if a team loses a back in the first half of games this year? It's an issue across the league.

Props to roosters, came with a winning game plan and let us do ourselves in.

You can see Reynolds loves the club but his body is letting him down. His injury list is becoming meme worthy.

What a disaster. Possibly Reece Walsh's worst game of the season. What's the go with game and now season ending injury to our backs when playing the top teams?
Klown managed the game great for the Chooks. First half 3 late passes during a tackle from the Chooks all good play on. Second half late pass from Haas is ruled held called...
First half we were put on our backs multiple times during a tackle all good. Second half for the first time in the game we get Tedesco on his back instant penalty from Klown.
Arey may have to look at retiring as this 1 game here and there is hurting the team and our salary cap.
Did Walsh actually get tackled at any time during the game? He's trying too much and going for the miracle play every run and it's just not on.
The Chooks played well but every bounce went their way, we lost players everywhere and having Klown for the ref is like having a 14th man on the field for them. That call that Mariner played at the ball when the Chooks player passed into his shoulder didn't matter at the end but was typical all klown.
If we can cut the mistakes out we can worry the top teams but Walsh constantly turning the ball over is just killing us.

Not a good night, Reynolds and Arthurs injuries are pretty rough. But we have the firepower without them to win it. Hopefully Maddens pecs good otherwise mam to 7 and Rogers to 6? Time to blood the next winger (know the name but too scared to try and spell it, starts with L).
Definitely lost that in the 1st half (thanks Walsh). Looked like we may have run away with it once Arey went off, but as mentioned sin bin and HIA (anyone seen when the head injury happened? Cuz me and a few mates didn't)
Look forward to revenge finals game against the rorters (if they make it).

Yes Walsh is copping a lot tonight and rightfully so because his performance was dogshit but the game plan going into it was seemingly idiotic as well.

It was under 8’s shit from the start, just get the ball to the quick kid on an edge and hopefully he does something with it

Started off well but Walsh really cost us with how frantic he was playing and how much he tried to force things. Once the the injuries kicked in, and the dumb sin bin happened we were no chance.

I dont think enough of our big players stood up when we were down. Carrigan did, but thats about it for our big game players.

Apart from the obvious injury issues tonight.

Panic attempts at kick on tackles zero and 2 by Reece and Mam were just dreadful and show that they still have a lot of maturing to do.

Panic in attack on the half breaks by Walsh - that wasn't just taking a chance, it was really careless, quite a few times. Passing the ball only works if the people receiving it have a clue what you're up to. He needs to either make the space for someone or dummy and go - he's got the wheels to pull that off.

Reece ran 70m tonight, Teddy 250m. He needs to tuck it under his wing and aim for a gap more often.

Every time we were in an attacking position, our fifth tackle options were pretty much univerally garbage and rushed.

We can't defend or attack a short dropout to save our lives.

We constantly have players in a position to receive the ball and tap it backwards with two hands - that led to us missing a try scoring opp and they ran way up field with it. If you can get two hands to the ball, catch the fucking thing.

We had the Roosters pack, shot to pieces up the guts, they were out on their feet at stages there.... and our play makers - run it straight at the centres/2nd rowers who were all over us, every, fucking, time.

They were offloading the ball at will, all night. Directly led to several tries. Simply not good enough.

Klein is and always will be, a massive fucking shill for NSW teams.

There was no covering the backs tonight. We lost our halfback, winger and five eight and lost a back to the bin.

Could have a bench full of backs and you would still need blokes out of position. Tonight wasn't a coaching problem
