I don't think Collins is one that got away, I think he is one that benefited by getting away.

What I mean is, imagine how good Haas/Joffa/Oates/Milford/Flegler, et al would be at the Roosters.

Collins has only had four years of football to get it right. I'm happy to see him finally take the next step in his career, but it's because he's been able to develop at his own pace instead of being thrown into the deep end.

What I mean is, imagine how good Haas/Joffa/Oates/Milford/Flegler, et al would be at the Roosters.

Based on their personal, individual efforts at the Broncos, Joffa, Oates Milford and Flegler wouldn't even be considered. The Roosters wouldn't touch them with a barge pole. Haas, sure.

The benefits of playing at a competently run footy club, can develop at your own pace and aren't debuted at 18 and labelled 'the next Webcke' by everyone in the local media.
