Round 9 Discussion

The benefits of playing at a competently run footy club, can develop at your own pace and aren't debuted at 18 and labelled 'the next Webcke' by everyone in the local media.

Our approach will ruin a lot of our young blokes. Always said it was a flawed strategy.

I've actually been pretty disappointed with Collins' career trajectory. I kept a close eye on him in 20s since talanoa talked him up and that intensity you see in his play is exactly how he played in 20s. In 2016 he suffered a serious injury set-back and despite having the odd promising performance for Sydney was never able to put it together until now.

I'd like to see how he goes when the rest of the team isn't on a run.

The Roosters haven’t been perfect this year, some errors and dropped a few games, but they’ll fix that. The good news for them is their attack looks better than last two seasons, it’s lethal when they’re on.

Will we ever get to this level of elite at the broncos ever again?
Who knows. Even if we started today it’d likely be years off.

He'll be long retired by the time the Roosters are bought back to salary cap reality and not 'on a run' anymore.

Based on their personal, individual efforts at the Broncos, Joffa, Oates Milford and Flegler wouldn't even be considered. The Roosters wouldn't touch them with a barge pole. Haas, sure.
They would have 4 years ago tho, got them before they were ruined in our system.

This is the point I was making. You can argue Milf has had a big part in ruining himself due to laziness but all these guys show what a failure the Broncos system has been since 2016. It has taken five years to break the system, it could take five years to fix it and a lot of personnel changes before it can happen.

I see your point but in reality it should only take as long as your longest player contract. I mean just keep dumping the offending players as their contracts end until you get the result you want. Of course that doesn't fix the front office but winning covers that flaw.

Let's be honest, Fifita's choice of clubs are between one basket case and another longer-term basket case. What a choice.

Ah, the Roosters will fit him in somehow.

Tedesco: 1 million a season
Cordner: 1 million a season
Crichton: 1 million a season
Keary: 1 million a season
JWH: 1 million a season
Fifita: 1 million a season
Everyone else: 50c a season

That should be an 8 point try, idiotic by Hiku.

The Warriors defense just caught the Broncos left-side defensive virus, they all just stood and watched then too.
